Paxton's POV

"I'm going to go to the bathroom and wait for the bell. You can talk to your friends." Mercedes has told me as she got up near the end of the lunch hour and tried to walk away.

I grabbed her hand and she tried to yank it out from me. I grabbed my tray and went up to her. "I have to dump my tray and i'll be back over here anyway." She nodded and let me follow along.

We walked in silence. I could tell that she wasn't mad at me, but something was bothering her for some reason.

"You friend Trey. He's nice."

"You think so?"

"He's better than Corbin."

"I'm sorry about Corbin. He's best friends with Zoe so he has always had something against me."

"I could care less. He's just one of those petty boys." I went to dump my tray and he was sitting by the trash waiting for me to hand it in.

"Is something on your mind?" She stood there looking at me with pleading eyes and was fidgeting with her fingers.

"Oh. It's nothing. i'm going to go to the bathroom." She turned around then turned back to face me and give me a quick kiss, and headed to the bathroom as i started to head back to the boys.

As i walked back Trent started to point and laugh at me as well as a bunch of the other boys sitting with them. "Oh what's so funny?" I said while chuckling.

"You have pink lips."

"Yeah?"

"Lip gloss pink. Like your girlfriend." Trent has mentioned and i looked stunned as i tried to wipe it away with my shirt.

"She's a cutie." I heard Trey say to me. He was next to me so he didn't say it very loud. "Don't get me wrong, she's cute but i wouldn't date her. She's yours."

I then realized that Trey had stayed behind with Mercedes so i was really deciding if i should ask him if anything happened or if i should just leave it and ask her.

"Oh. Did anything happen when me and the boys went to get lunch?"

"I mean her and Corbin argued, but it's not my place to tell you what was said. You'll have to ask her." So either one of my plans i would have to ask her about it anyway.

"Okay. Thanks man." I said while patting him on the back. "Corbin. Please don't mess with her."

"Whose her." He chuckled.

"Don't act dumb." I rolled my eyes and looked at Trent. "I'm going to go find my beautiful girlfriend before class starts."

"Definitely is beautiful." I heard Corbin day under his breath. I looked over at him and glared as Trent smacked his leg.

Trent's POV

Paxton has left the area and i turns to Corbin and gave him a cold look.

"You can't do that to him. You know how he is when it comes to Mercedes."

"Please. Him and Zoe will be a thing and then i can have my chance to get her for myself."

"God you guys are ridiculous." I said while rolling my eyes. "She is pretty but you guys try way to hard to get her. Paxton has never been this happy with anyone."

Corbin laughed. "It's not going to last. She'll eventually get bored of him."

"Paxton treats her good though."

"That doesn't even matter. I would spoil her so much. She deserves a man who will stop her from making bad decisions."

"Well, to be fair. Paxton was at swim practice when she fought Devi. He hasn't been a bad boyfriend to her at all, so i could chill out."

"Trent. Mercedes is the type of girl who will see how Paxton really is and she will try to find someone else. I mean her and Aiden didn't stay together. What makes you think her and Paxton will. I'll have her some time."

"Buddy. I know you just joined us this year. You're a good guy and you could treat a girl really well, but i think Paxton found his soulmate, or the girl he's in love with. So even if you were to get her, i'm sure he would eventually kill you."

"I'll find my way to ruin their relationship Trent. It won't be hard. She'll hate him so much, she won't want to go back to him."

"Stop. What makes you think i'm not going to tell him any of this" I threatened, but he didn't seem phased by it.

"If you tell him, i'm just going to ruin all of your friendships with the guys. You know will."

I swallowed. He has caused so much damage with the boys in this group this year that i know he will do what he says. He is not all talk.

"Okay. I won't, but please, think this through. Paxton is your fri-"

"I'm only friends with him because we associate with each other. I don't actually like him."

Unknown POV

I was at lunch and i heard a mini fight happening in the group of boys who hung out with Paxton. I saw the new kid Corbin? I think that was his name and i know the other one was Trent.

I've always looked at Paxton and Mercedes as the perfect couple which made me jealous of how perfect they were but i was becoming happy for them.

I heard the name Mercedes and I looked behind me to see Corbin talking about ruining Mercedes and Paxton's relationship? I wasn't for sure if that was what was being said, but i turned back around.

I was trying to block out all of the surrounding sounds coming in and was trying to focus on the conversation happening behind me.

Corbin is going to find a way to make Mercedes mad at Paxton so he can find Mercedes's upset and basically take her in as his.

Mercedes and Paxton dont like me very much but i feel like one of them deserves to know what he is talking about. I can only hope that they believe me, because i won't be surprise if they didn't.

I sighed and looked at the rest of the people at my table who were trying to get my attention after i had zoned out on everything.

I shook my head back to reality and grabbed my tray. "Sorry guys. I have to talk to someone."

I got up because i wanted to find Mercedes or Paxton. One of the two so i can tell him. I know Mercedes may not even look at me though, and Paxton might try fighting me.

I guess i can apologize about the day Paxton was getting his suit and i was trying to get Mercedes back.

Lol. I've been wanting curtain bangs, but then i was like no, but i've always had a side part and now i put it in the middle but i had grown out side bangs that were still a little short so i was trying to trim the other side and i accidentally cut it shorter than i wanted, it's not ugly though, it looks good, but i'm scared my mom is going to y'all at me but yolo.
