A/N: Hi everyone! Just one note before you start reading. Sometimes the POV changes kind of suddenly. It's mainly Luz's, but sometimes it switches to Amity's and then back and there's not much transition time in between. That aside, enjoy!

Eda popped her head in while Luz was doing her potions homework. It involved a frustrating amount of math and calculations, which she'd never been very good at, so she welcomed the distraction. Especially when Eda said, "Boots is here."

She rushed downstairs to the door and swung it open, revealing the green-haired witch. Her golden eyes moved up to Luz's face, and she smiled with a little wave. "Uh, hey, Luz," she said awkwardly.

"Amity!" Luz beamed, beckoning inside.

Once they were in Luz's room, she asked, "Sooo, what do you want to do?"

"Oh, it doesn't really-" Amity started. Then her eyes landed on some fanart her friend had made. "We could draw?" she suggested.

Luz brightened. "Ooh, great idea! How about we draw each other?"

Amity nodded. "Okay."

They got out some paper and pencils from her supply in her room. Amity had already started sketching, but Luz just sat there, thinking.

Where do I start? she wondered. Should I draw her full body, or just her head and shoulders? How do I capture her in a drawing?

She stole a quick glance at the girl beside her. It just seemed like no matter how hard she tried, Luz would never be able to grasp all of Amity's character in one picture.

But she had to try. And it's not like she'd never drawn Amity before. Luz picked up her pencil and started working on the sketch.

After fifteen minutes they both announced that they were finished. Luz had chosen to do a head shot so she could add more detail. Amity's expression was joyful, her eyes shining with extra highlights and her mouth curved up into a candid smile. Luz didn't think she'd captured her that well, but Amity liked it, and that was all that mattered.

On the other hand, Amity had drawn Luz's full body in her regular clothes, grinning and holding up finger guns. Luz saw it and immediately wanted to hang it up on her wall, so she did (with the help of some sticky abomination goo). Not only did she love the drawing, but it would serve as a reminder of how Amity saw her every time she looked at it. Not an annoying human, or some weird girl who didn't fit in. Just Luz, as she was.

Luz was looking at the witch when she noticed her eyeliner. "Wow, how do you get your eyeliner that good?" she asked, moving closer to study it.

Amity's face flushed. "Oh, I usually use magic, but it's actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I can show you if you want!" Internally, she kicked herself. Why had she blurted that out?

But the human was none the wiser. "Sure! Ooh, how about we do each other's makeup? That's classic sleepover biz."

"Oh, uh, sure," Amity agreed, despite having no idea what the word 'biz' meant.

Luz squealed. "Yes! Let me get my makeup. Now where did I put it..." She searched her room for a bit before uncovering her makeup supplies.

"Gotcha!" she exclaimed triumphantly. "I don't usually wear makeup, but I like to keep it around just in case."

Amity grabbed the eyeliner and opened it. "Alright," she said. "So I usually like to apply it like this..."
Luz watched attentively as she demonstrated her technique on herself. "Okay," she said. "I think I can do that." She echoed Amity's process on herself and asked, "How's it look?"
