A/N: This oneshot was inspired by Speak Now by Taylor Swift. It was intended as a tribute to celebrate the release of Speak Now (Taylor's Version), but I guess it's a little late now. Either way, enjoy!

The organ's song fills Amity's ears, and it takes a considerable amount of effort not to start frowning. After everything, the walk down the aisle feels like a death march; like she's walking to her doom. In a way, she kind of is.

She focuses on Hunter, who is standing under the wedding arch in his fancy white suit and not even trying to look happy. Amity couldn't help wishing it was someone else standing in his place. If it was, this whole event would be much more joyful, and she wouldn't have to worry about not frowning; her smile would come naturally.

Her father grins at her and lets go of her arm, and she forces a smile in return, hoping it doesn't resemble a grimace. Amity is pretty sure Alador has no idea about what had happened before this, and how much she hates all of it. For his sake, at least, she will smile.

She reaches Hunter and takes hold of his hands like they'd practiced, looking into his eyes. There's discontempt clear in them, and she hopes her own are showing empathy. She knows neither of them want this.

It had all been a setup by Odalia and Belos. This whole wedding is just an arrangement so they can get it. Amity had fought her hardest to make sure it didn't happen, but in the end she had failed. Odalia had made sure of that.

Amity's mind drifts back to her true love, the light of her life, and her girlfriend: Luz Noceda. They had started dating at fourteen and stayed together since then. Amity knows her mother doesn't approve of their relationship, but back then it hadn't mattered. She had broken free of the constraints Odalia had held her in for her whole life and relished the freedom it had given her. For once, she had been able to do what she wanted, without having to worry about constantly being perfect.

Unfortunately, her luck hadn't lasted. Odalia had made the marriage arrangement with the Emperor and told her to comply, otherwise there would be dire consequences. Amity had refused, thinking she could handle whatever Odalia threw at her.

That is, until she had captured Luz and threatened to petrify her if Amity didn't obey.

She'd had no choice. She had to go along with the marriage, because there was no way she was willing to lose Luz forever.

The weeks leading up to the wedding had been a blur of preparations and busyness. Amity had snuck out of the room Odalia had given her to see Luz again on multiple occasions. She remembers crying into her arms, wishing with all her might that she'd wake up one morning and realize that it was all a bad dream.

Eventually, she and Hunter warmed up to each other a bit, enough that sometimes they told the other about their life before the wedding had been arranged. They didn't share their entire life stories with each other, but Amity figured that if they were stuck together, they might as well try to get along.

"Welcome, valued guests and loved ones." The officiant's voice startles Amity out of her thoughts. "We are gathered here today to witness the Titanly matrimony of Hunter and Amity Blight."

Amity's eyes wander as the officiant drones on and on in a flat, monotonous voice. She scans the crowd, mostly seeing people from the Emperor's Coven and high-ranking officials in the audience. Suddenly her sight lands on a familiar face at the very back of the auditorium.

Amity's eyes widen, but she immediately brings them back down again, smoothing over her surprise with a neutral expression. What is Luz doing here?! she thinks. She definitely wasn't on the invite list.
