In a world where everything seems perfectly logical and pragmatic. The thought of anything existing outside of the realm of what one already knows seems impractical.
That is how Melinda Morrison sees life.

You give a lot of love and it all comes back to you.
Ronis Vanedou my handmaiden was a very diligent and polite worker. Off first impressions, I didn't have much to say or do with her really; I never felt the need to have someone tag along to every single thing I did around the estate. But she listened when I needed my space or had her prepare something for me in advance such as grabbing books from the library, snacks for me to enjoy in my sitting room, or even styling my hair.
She was talented at her job being my handmaiden. I'm sure that is why she was handpicked from the bunch of appropriate candidates by mother herself.
At twelve years of age, she had a lot going for her in her work ethic which was to be admired. From the many things I picked up from her since the days she had been attached to me was that she had an unusually low-pitched laugh—she found a lot of my pestering questions about her funny.
She was an early riser. Always the first to push away the curtains in my room to help me get up in time for my lessons as nanny Addel used to do. She also spoke quickly, but I appreciated that fact about her because at times if someone's speech was slow enough, I would immediately tune or—or worse interject and input my opinion on what they would say which may or may not be wrong depending on the topic.
Ronis was also born the fourth child and the second daughter of eleven children in a town named Rouver somewhere west of the main city of Klocsas.
From a young age, she had been tasked with taking care of her younger siblings while her elder brothers and sisters worked on training to be working knights and or servants at other estates. Ronis did recall before coming to serve at the Plarinu estate that she worked closer to her family as a Baroness for about two years and some months. Still, her employer could no longer afford to keep some of the work and fired half the staff to work elsewhere. Luckily enough, she was able to find employment here as the opportunities were endless for a bustling home such as this.

She always expressed to me that she was very pleased to be working as my personal handmaiden, though I was not quite sure why since I did not have the best of reputations due to my outbursts and defiance of my parents.
Still, Ronis wasn't bothersome and the majority of the time was pleasant to have around. She was voiceless enough that at times I would forget she was there while I sat at my desk studying and reading up on a variety of topics.
Only when she'd softly remind me to finish my tea or to prepare for bed that I'd remember she was always close by willing to assist me with every need I had.
Kind of like an assistant.
"We've gone through a lot of material today, Lady Lavania. Well done on your magical tests assignments." Mr. Ennith congratulated me as he took off his spectacles long enough to wipe the dust and fingerprints off them. We had been working for a few hours as per our usual regime. Today was a lot less boring than other days because we got to work on my abilities.
