To summon and bring glory, or to cower in fear is the result of decision.

Seattle, Washington; Age 34.

"You sure you still want to go to the restaurant? If you're not feeling well we can always just chill at the hotel and head to the cabin afterwards."

"Yeah, but you really wanted to go to this place." I turned to Andrew where I stood perched on the counter of the bathroom in the hotel we were currently staying at. I was lethargic and I didn't have much of an appetite; at least thinking about eating didn't necessarily bring me any comfort right now.

Perhaps it was being on the road for so long moving from state to state that was probably bringing an onset cold of the sort, but we were at our last leg with the cabin in the woods being our final stop in our cross-country road trip; I'm sure I could tough out a late night dinner in Seattle before heading along our way.

"We're going to be late if we don't start getting ready now," I added.

Andrew had really wanted to go after all and he seldom ever requested things like this, unless it was a random hike or a trip to a different spot in the world. So for him, I would do this.

"That's cause it's social media famous and people say the food is great... and the desserts, of course." He teased me with a little wink.

I smirked a bit at his words.

I did like sweets.

"It's fine. I'll probably feel better in a couple of minutes anyways. We gotta stick to the itinerary... and the restaurant is on that list." I reminded him.

"We don't always have to stick to the plans, spontaneity is good sometimes too." He said.

I scoffed, "You know lists keep me organized and lessen my chances for a panic attack, so maybe not this time." I replied.

"Fair enough." Andrew looked over at my things sprawled over the bathroom counter, "I'll let you get dressed up and we can head out." He left me to it, shutting the bathroom door on his way out. I returned my attention to my duffel bag on the floor and the dress I was going to wear to the dinner.

A lavender-colored silk ensemble that went down to my ankles and hugged the remainder of my body tightly but enough to move around freely. I adjusted my hair in the mirror, my mauve-colored braids that I wore for the entirety of this vacation seemed to match a bit with my choice of garments for the night. I decided it was best to put it into a neat bun that sat at the top of my head to keep it away from my face; I usually hated when my hair got in my way, especially when eating.

With that completed, I only added a tad bit of makeup, and by a tad, I meant some mascara, gloss, and powder; I didn't know enough about painting my face to do it well like all the videos I had watched online to help me learn. My hands were never steady enough to add the little details that made girl's designs pop.
