In a world where everything seems perfectly logical and pragmatic. The thought of anything existing outside of the realm of what one already knows seems impractical.
That is how Melinda Morrison sees life.

A beautiful gift of memories is the enduring will that guides my life forward.
Our stay in Loscye was a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Revisiting a place so deeply connected to us, even though it had changed subtly, was comforting and nostalgic. Grand Duchess Nasubi proved to be an exceptional hostess throughout our time there. Her prestige among the nobility and the common folk was evident, and her immense wealth made even the most challenging requests attainable. For Nasubi, the word "no" simply didn't exist.
By Lavania's request, Nasubi provided us with an even more in-depth tour, focusing on the Wantsuo family and how it had evolved over generations, a history that not even the current family head was aware of.
"This portrait here," Nasubi said as we paused in front of a large and elaborate painting, "Is of my ancestors from around three hundred years ago, during one of the more prominent eras of our household. The head of the family at that time was Zhorlojya Caelina."
I recognized the portrait, having seen it many times before. The sheer number of family members, most of them with the iconic silver holographic hair and two-toned eyes, was overwhelming. Their prominence and wealth were unmistakable, even in mere brushstrokes.

As guests, it was clear that even during Ezer's time, the Wantsuo family spared no expense in caring for everyone under their roof, including their pets and staff. What touched me the most, however, was how welcoming they were, even going so far as to include others in their family portrait. There, between Lady Brynja and Ninlil, was Tahmina. Her midnight blue hair and dazzling golden eyes stood in stark contrast to the iridescent features of her surrogate family, yet she fit in perfectly, alongside other members who had married into the family.
For fun, I pointed to Tahmina in the portrait. "And who's that? If I'm not mistaken, is she also a Wantsuo?"
Lavania caught my tone and gave me a knowing look, while I smirked in amusement. Nasubi, however, remained focused on the painting. "Ah, yes, that's Firansse (Lady) Tahmina Nis Kathozh of Hona." Nasubi's voice carried a note of pride as she continued, "Though not related by blood, she was deeply respected within the Wantsuo family."
Nasubi explained further. "Mayrskéi Jerusha took her in as a guardian when she arrived from Freu Prein. Tahmina was also the mother of the Supreme Sorcerer Lunár, who tragically died in an accident. Their story is known by few, but she was truly brilliant, wasn't she?" She gazed back at the portrait, adding softly, "Even in paintings, her beauty is undeniable."
