Partners forced together, always collide.
Beverly Hills, California; Age 31.
"Wooh! These look better in person than I thought they would be!"
"What are the specs on the rings? They look great."
"As requested by your fianceé, Mr. Merritt, this is a Riviera Pavé Heirloom Diamond Ring, but it was modified to add a ruby gem in the middle of the band for both the bride and groom rings and an engraving on the inside." The jewelry sales associate stated.
"Looks sick bro, it definitely matches the ring you got her," I said as I studied the accessory with fascination. I had never gone shopping for wedding bands before, but this was definitely a first. Although we weren't necessarily "shopping" per se. It was more so Eniola who had ordered the wedding bands to be picked up by Shane just shy of the upcoming wedding they were having in Napa Valley in about a week.
I just tagged along since we had just gotten lunch together.
"We're glad you are satisfied with the choice Mr. Merritt. I'm sure your fiancée will be pleased with these on your wedding day... again Congratulations!" He smiled brightly as he placed the now-closed boxes of wedding bands into the fancy store-branded bag for him to take.
The store was super fancy. Definitely one of those kinds of places where many people only peeped through the window at the display, passing by as the remainder of the actual store remained rather quiet and untouched by the remainder of society outside.
Shane chuckled, "Oh I think she will, she's been stressing out over the wedding planning so If I could get this one little task right, I'm gold in her eyes." He joked.
I scoffed.
"That's cause you greatly underestimated what actually goes into a wedding. I did you a solid by sending over that Lambo when I did, I was sure she was going to rip your head off the other day." I shoved my hands into my pocket and leaned against one of the glass displays of necklaces, paying very little mind to the variety.
Shane huffed, running his hands through his brown hair, "I thought you said the car would be for me if I managed to stick with someone and get married." He teased.
I rolled my eyes, "I changed my mind. Once you did settle down, I figured Eni would better be suited for it since she has the life-long task of dealing with you for the rest of her life." I said.
Shane pouted, his green eyes twinkling with fake tears, "And the 50k, bro?" He added.
I smirked, "Consider it a wedding gift to the both of you." I replied.
"You're so mean Drewie." He faked a child-like voice and I shoved him lightly. "Man up, you're going to be a married man in a week!" I encouraged him.
