The taste of sweetness conflicts with the bitterness of the dirt that follows it.

"So, your academic instructor may have the remedy to heal the dark magic infliction on the citizens of Eerly?"

"Well, the results vary and can remove most of it, but the longer under the influence of such magic, the harder it is to remove it entirely."

"But it is still possible?"

"Anything is possible in life, really."

The Baroness released her intensive stare at my figure before her and turned her back towards me, her gaze focusing on the map of Eerly and the plentiful notes made over the territories we had managed to reclaim over the past several months.

It was hard to think so many months had already passed away from Klocsas in pursuit of bringing home the stolen territory, though much progress has been made; a majority of the land mass was now ours once more and heavily guarded and maintained in order to avoid another siege.

To say the Baroness was exceptionally skilled on this front was an understatement, she exemplified the knowledge and tactical attributes needed in order to command an army to success. It was no surprise even at one point, Commander Xoum had to bend to her will; there was no denying it at the point, her plans, her actions, and her directive is what go us to the point, there was no choice now but to finish what we started.

I had learned so much in that time, nothing could challenge actually having field experience as a battle solider, fighting alongside comrades during surprise attacks, losing a few to injury or causality to fighting, and the inner workings of what made such an operation like this flow smoothly day in and day out.

"Has his potion brewing effectively been tested on any individuals?" She inquired.

I nodded even knowing she couldn't see it, "Yes, two individuals who were Espee escapees and were suffering from dire mental decline. There's nothing on the market thus far like what Mr. Ennith has."

"Very well then, we will have him summoned, it's best now to get started on the relief efforts while we have control of the major city points." She cleared her throat, her face still fixated on the board with a complex stare.

We were the only ones inside this planning tent, I had come in here early this morning just so I could finish pitching this request; it was easy to forget about stuff like relief efforts when most of the days if not spent combat training, assisting in the medical ward, or just plain out carrying out a mission that something like this would fall to the wayside without another thought.

Better now, than never.

"Thank you for the consideration, Commander Mage," I said gratefully to her.

Dione scoffed, still her gaze unfocused on me, "No need for such formalities, your Highness, you rank higher than me even on this field. Besides it is me who should be grateful for what you and the Crown Prince have done for our family, a far change from when we first arrived here." She advised me.
