When the peachy skies of the world open, do the people look up?

"It seems rather vain, don't you think?"

"Nonsense! You're not only the first Empress of the Empire but also the first to rule in your own right. Moreover, it's crucial for the people to connect with the legacy they've entrusted."

"Have they not already seen enough of me?"

"As far as I'm aware, many have yet to witness Your Majesty in public. This serves as their only means of visualizing you."

"Ugh." Lavania's dissatisfaction was palpable as she continued to scrutinize the banknotes before her. The displeasure stemmed from the fact that one of the Citodru (6 notes) featured her face prominently.

"I believe it captures your essence quite accurately, wouldn't you agree?" Minister of Finance, Lucillia, grinned. "Although upon reflection, it hardly does you justice. Your Majesty's beauty is ethereal as if blessed by the Goddesses themselves," She praised lavishly.

How could I resist interrupting this private meeting, armed with an assortment of decadent desserts from the Opal Emporium, including the signature cake and some chocolate eclairs that I knew would be irresistible to her?

As I placed the neatly boxed treats on my lap, she sauntered over, took the box, and returned to her desk. With precise strokes of her unsheathed blade, she sliced pieces for herself and Soril, who stood patiently behind her.

"Are you really using one of your training knives to cut the cake?" I inquired.

Lavania looked up slowly, a hint of confusion in her eyes. "It's clean," She assured me. "And sharp," She added as if that would alleviate any concerns.

Soril smirked. "Right, Lavee... just give me a slice," She sighed.

Lavania resumed cutting the cake and handed a plate to Soril before extending one towards High Duchess Lucillia, who stood patiently by the presentation table. "I thank you for your consideration, Your Majesty, but I do not have much of a sweet tooth," She politely declined.
