In a world where everything seems perfectly logical and pragmatic. The thought of anything existing outside of the realm of what one already knows seems impractical.
That is how Melinda Morrison sees life.
The very life where she has shared nearly e...
A twisted mind forgets the simplest of things but never the emotion it felt.
"It brings me great pleasure to see you in my palace officially, Lady Lavania."
I stood in the middle of the reception room of Sangeries Palace, Prince Enos's official home on the royal grounds. I had only been here one other time and it was when Misi had performed her procedure on him, since then I only watched the mysterious building from afar, awaiting the day for our scheduled meeting which had finally come.
I thought it would only be the prince and me, so I was a bit surprised to see the second queen-doxy Viatrix standing beside Enos who was greeting me with a wide and excited smile. Her highnesses' expression although neutral and void of emotion was rather stale in comparison.
I figured she wasn't very sure of me as I was a new face in the palace they had spent many years in away from the eyes and ears of others.
Still I greeted her as I would any royal of the palace, just as I had been taught to.
"I am most humble the second prince has called upon my presence for a visit." I curtsied to both of the individuals, adjusting the dress I wore slightly so I could comfortably stand again.
Enos's green eyes twinkled at my words, his eyes mirrored that of his mother's in hue and intensity, something deep and intrinsic sparked whenever he stared at you long enough.
"No need for such formalities. I quite enjoyed it when you first met me and thought nothing of the meaningless and vapid words of the high court. I'd like for you to remember me as the individual you approached out of curiosity rather than the second prince of the nation." He advised me.
Was it really alright for me to be informal with him? I mean despite us already meeting each other in the past, I had no idea who he was. If I did, I would have adjusted my behavior accordingly to match my enviornment. Granted, I had already made a fool of myself in front of him and he was aware of my true nature outside of aristocatic formalities, so perhaps he preffered it to the demenor I was exhibiting now.
"Enos I advise you to remain a sense of decorum as the second prince. Might I remind you of your etiquette training?" Queen Viaxtrix reminded her son with an earnest arch of her brow.

I watched as Enos sighed deeply, "Mother... this is my first guest in the palace... who has very much seen me at my worst." He gestured to the lack of individuals in the room with us.
The servants that had gathered treats and snacks had alread set them in the middle of the table in the room and left promptly, my own personal knight Sir Sundri was posted outside of the door as he usually did whenever I was out of my family's estate. He was right, it was just the three of us.
I was never this formal with Andrew, but I suppose we were a special case.
"Still...." Her eyes glazed over my attire for a moment, her gaze seemed observant rather than judgemental but it was too hard for me to tell, "The lady must be used to a certain set standard as the daughter of a Grand Duke, we wouldn't want to disappoint her." She finished.
