Fandoms. They have become the cliche of tumblr. They are mainstream now. If you love someone or something you're in that fandom.

Fangirls/Fanboys. We sing covers and write fanfic. We rant and vent about every new relevant thing. We scream in excitement and dance with joy.
We occasionally cry tears of happiness.

It's crazy beautiful how something you love can change.
(specific to celeb fandoms)
Sometimes it isn't that you like the new hairstyle they have or the new Movie they're in or the new song they write.
It's not that we agree with everything they do or say. It's not that we think they're a God.
It's not that we believe them to be superior.
Because sometimes it's because they prove to be just like us.
Celeb fandom members often get asked a question (I will testify to this)
"Did you see what they did though? It's all over the magazines!"
Trust me, we know. We know what they did. In fact we probably knew within the first 12 hours of it happening. No matter the situation, we know. And most times we get judged for liking someone who's had say a DUI

No it wasn't good. No we don't condone it and don't support it.
But we find it makes them humane to screw up every once in a while.

And if the celeb we support is considered an angel in the eyes of the paparazzi (very rare) then we still find humanity in the little things.

Fandoms aren't the new fad. They aren't the new cliche.
Because, and I know I speak for more than myself when I say this, for us it isn't buying everything they put into stores. For us it's seeing them in a ten year span and seeing how they've grown. And knowing we've grown with them.
