III DON'T CARE IF I JUST UPDATED 2 SECONDS AGO!

lol

Okay so the reason why I am back is because I have a question....

Today I was talking about my art and my friend legit said (something to the effect of) "Yeah your art skill is way better than mine but insert-name-here is still way better than you!"

...

Y u do dat?

Dat so mean and insensitive.....

I mean... Yeah insert-name-here is a good artist but... I don't think anyone is better than anyone... Like everyone is good at different things but saying that someone is inferior to someone else...

I was sad...

Y u no say "You are good artist but I still prefer insert-name-here's artwork"

I would've been like "Okay bruh, dats cool insert-name-here is a good artist..."

But NOOOOO!

Lol, I don't feel as bad but it's just that kind of raw soreness in my chest that I feel... I think artists feel it a lot. I think lots of people feel it a lot...

soooooo....

Before the question I'm going to state somethings

*THINGS NEVER TO DO TO AN ARTIST (or just certain people in general)*

Go through their sketchbooks (that's like reading their diaries) (I only excuse it if it's with someone you really trust)

If you end up looking through it, don't just ask questions about certain things, most of the time the artist doesn't even know

If someone has badish handwriting  then plis don't just be all like 'wut does this say' especially if it's something they don't want you reading in the first place

Don't ever tell them they are bad at art. (that includes saying people are better than them) It's already tough since artists constantly compare themselves to other's work, It's not very fun telling yourself over and over again that you'll never be as good as other people

don't (recklessly) use their sketchbooks without permission (unless it's someone you really trust)

If you are going to critique their work, A) make sure you know what you're talking about and B) tell them things they did well and things they did wrong/things you personally think could be better

AND FINALLY

Accept their weirdness... Let's face it, artists are weird, if they are like staring at you, they might be noticing how your nostrils line up on your face or how your hair reacts in sunlight... I stare at people and do that... :3

lol okay...

envirothon is legit next thursday so wish us luck!!

Okay now, question...

Is what my friend said okay to say? Am I just overreacting? come one guys, I want to know if I'm alone or not on this one :3

Cya (fur realz this time!)
