Ok so I just watched The Best Of Me by the infamous and wonderful inspiration, Nicholas Sparks. I usually don't post book/movie reviews so quickly but if a movie or book makes even ME analyze for five days, it deserves attention. (Spoilers Ahead!!!)

So in The Best Of Me Amanda and Dawson were high school sweethearts and their torn appart as high school ends yadayadayada. They meet again when they're almost forty and well u get the jist.

But my problem with the movie is A) EVERYONE GOOD AND NICE AND AWESOME DIES. And they're all killed my the same person.

B) This is a Nicholas Sparks book. So no one is supposed to die.

C) The male leads (Dawson) best friend (Bobby) dies and like bobbys girlfriend is pregnant and he never meets his kid but Dawson kinda saves the kid in the end and like it is partially Dawson's fault Bobbys dead and I'm sitting here with this ratchet look on my face. I'm over here thinking 'Dude, ur pretty much the reason he's dead! I would hate u if I were his son.'

And like in the end Dawson dies because his abusive father kills him but Amandas (Leading Female, Dawson's high school sweetheart) son was in a car accident and his heart valve is broken and he needs a transplant so DAWSON SAVES THE DAY BY DYING AND GIVING HIS HEART TO HIS HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS SON.

Yeah it's actually a fabulous movie but at the end when the credits were rolling my mom looked at me and asks me

"Well, Whats you think?"

And I'm just staring at the screen looking like I just swallowed nail polish and I'm pointing at our tv and I just look from her to the tv and I go

"Thats not how this whole SAPPY love story thing works! He's not supposed to die! This isn't divergent or Harry Potter, this is a Nicholas Sparks book people arent supposed to die! That's not fair!"

And she's just like.

"He died so her so could live, so she's eternally greatful to him."

Me: "Yeah well I'm eternally ticked off at Nicholas Sparks now!"

Mother:*Laughs and gets on pinterest*

It's a wonderful movie aside from all the death and heartache you'll have cuz of it :)

Enjoy that heartbreak sandwich with a side of teardrop fries and a double fangirl feels milkshake. Hope it tastes reeeeeeaaaallll good.

That's about it so my rating (out of 10) for The Best Of Me by Nicholas Sparks is an ultimate 9.5

And I'm a sucker for any of his books or movies
