Hello lovelies so I am in a much better mood than I was last night. Last night I was agitated and aggravated. But since then I've slept, ran for a while, and drank like two bottles of water, not to mention see my friends at school.
Ok so since I am still keeping my new years resolution to lose weight and be fit, I figured I'd share my routine with you guys. Since losing weight is the number one resolution people fail to keep.
DISCLAIMER: I am in no way telling any of u that u must do this to be pretty because hello we're all beyonce in our own way *Strikes fierce pose* I just thought since the statistics were high, this might give anyone who had the 'losing weight/fitness' resolution, some motivation.
Anyway, let's get started!
My Working Out Essentials
- I have to have a bottle of water or two with me at all times while I work out. And if I go running up our road, I usually leave one that's been in the freezer, on the porch in the shade so it can be thawing out while I'm running.-I must have music. I have a spotify account if u guys want to follow me and my running playlist. My username is lacey_moretz (If u don't like my playlist, I suggest any and all of Kate Sosna's playlists)
*Spotify is where u follow different artists, people, and playlists and listen to a bunch of different music.
-I have to have my hair pulled back or I go crazy.
-I usually have somebody to work out with me. My top five people to work out with are
My mom, My brother, My choir director, My ex-dance teacher, or my friend Michelle from Zumba!
My routine!
Ok so if I'm at Zumba I just stretch before we start and do what they show us, then taking 45 sec water breaks when they tell us too. Then I usually stretch with my mom and our choir director after the class ends.
Now my At-Home fitness routine is a little less hardcore but I still push myself.
So I start by doing different stratches and stuff. After I stretch I like to do planks and ATTEMPT push ups and crunches. Then sometimes I do Courtney's (Zumba Instructor) squat routine to a song with a great but steady beat. And that routine consists of open leg squats, closed leg squats, and lunges on both legs. (IT BURNS SO GREAT) (I do squats before I run because I know I won't have the stentgh to when I get back)
Then I go and run up our road which equals roucghly a mile and if I'm feeling good I'll run it twice.
Then I come back and do some more planks and puchs ups and crunches and then I stretch again (it BURNS like fire your first time doing these routines and zumba but when u get used to it, ur fine. And stretching is ESSENTIAL!!!!) Then I'll just drink some water and lay outside and rest/meditate/think.
I have another wordless playlist I follow on Spotify if you want to follow that. I have a acoustic one too. I use them both for my 'relaxation' portion of my routine.
Food!!!! Yummmmyyyy
Now I like to do something called Eating Clean. It means you try to not put all the yucky junk food in your body. I like to snack on fruits and veggies. I love Greek yogurt with granola and I eat it for A snack. Another great snack Irma celery dipped in humus (*The original tastes terrible with it though. I suggest the roasted garlic humus!)
Also, I love to drink the Yogi brand of Detox tea and I usually drink it on Saturday morning because I don't have time on school days. I know we can't control school lunches and everything and I don't usually pack my lunch but I do get all the fruits and vegetables they have (Even though my friends all eat my food -_-)
If the choices they have are disgusting (Leftover pizza crusts that they swear are 'cheese sticks) BLEH!)
I just eat my fruit.
LE SLEEPY TIME
Now we should all strive for eight hours of a deep long SLEEP but I am not one of the people who can do this. Now I've been getting better about not being on my phone all night but I can never Get a full eight hours.
But I try.
