As Jisoo neared the end of the street, she was suddenly startled by the feeling of someone wrapping their arms around her from behind. Her muscles immediately tensed, and her breath quickened, heart pounding in her chest.
"Jagiya... I missed you!" Heungmin exclaimed, planting a firm kiss on her cheek. Jisoo felt a surge of fear welling up inside her, causing her to tightly shut her eyes.
"Heung... Heungmin... I thought we were meeting tomorrow, not today?" Jisoo stammered. Heungmin simply smiled, tightening his embrace around her.
"Well, change of plans... I wanted to see you tonight! Aren't you happy?" Heungmin inquired. Jisoo forced a smile onto her face and reached out to touch his cheek.
"Of course, I'm happy... It's just that I was surprised by your sudden appearance," Jisoo said softly. Heungmin kissed her once more and swiftly spun her around to get a better look at her face.
"Today, I need you to look extra beautiful, okay? This deal means a lot to me... so please, get stunning for tonight!" Heungmin requested. Jisoo nodded in agreement and swiftly planted a kiss on his lips.
"Anything for you," Jisoo replied, beaming with a wide smile. Heungmin returned her smile and excitedly led her towards his car. Jisoo hopped in without noticing that Haein's car had been parked a few meters away. Haein couldn't believe his eyes as he saw the man, who appeared to be around his age. A bark of laughter escaped him as he felt a sense of being used and discarded like nothing.
"You really stopped fucking around with me just to be with someone else?!" Haein exclaimed, watching the car disappear from his sight.
"I guess what I said about you was right after all... you're just a low-life girl!" Haein spat out, his eyes filled with anger. He then drove off from the scene like a madman.

The next morning, Haein was unbearable at work. Anyone called in by him was either scolded or fired on the spot. His behavior left everyone astonished; while they knew their boss was strict and serious, they never expected him to be so authoritarian.
