Nothing remained as it once was. Every word he had spoken to her now held no value. She questioned his every gesture, his gaze, his mannerisms, and his affections towards her. Doubt consumed her thoughts, casting shadows over every aspect of him.

The most heart-wrenching part of the situation was bidding farewell to the person she had envisioned a future with. Despite being shattered inside, she made a conscious decision not to reveal her pain. Opting for grace over chaos, she embraced tranquility over turmoil.

Nevertheless, she yearned for solitude that evening. She desired time alone to process the revelations shared by Hanri earlier. Unfortunately, fate had other plans as he was en route to her apartment, unaware of her need for space.

"Jisooya ... you... made up your mind so fast... what changed?" Hanri's voice echoed through the phone. Jisoo brushed away a tear from her cheek and forced a smile, "I just needed to do what's best for me, Hanri."

"I...I think I just had a revelation, eonnie," Jisoo exclaimed with a chuckle. "I actually saw the light! I feel so sure about my choice now...and I had to share it with you!" She lay in bed, her words filled with newfound confidence. Hanri let out a sigh and pursed her lips, processing the unexpected turn of events.

"Alright... I'm thrilled for you, Jisooyaa... we must celebrate this momentous occasion. I want to see you joyful about this fresh start of yours," Hanri responded. Jisoo fought back tears as she bit her bottom lip, determined to stay strong and composed.

"Yes, Eonni... thank you," Jisoo replied gratefully. Hanri smiled and carried on speaking, but Jisoo suddenly heard the door to her apartment creak open. She swiftly leaped out of bed, her heart racing with anticipation.

"Eonni... I have to run... I'll see you tomorrow, okay! Bye," Jisoo hurriedly said before ending the call. She dashed out of her room into the living room, only to discover Haein walking in with two bags of food.

"Baby!!! Hey... how are you?" Haein exclaimed, moving in to kiss her. He planted a quick peck on her lips before making his way over to the dinner table.

"Look, I brought you your favorite food - chicken! I hope you're hungry. I couldn't call earlier to ask, as I was busy at work, but I figured you'd still be hungry since you've been eating a lot lately," Haein said with a wide grin as he set the bags down on the table. He began swiftly unpacking the containers of food, completely focused on serving her.

Unaware, he didn't notice that Jisoo stood in the living room, not reacting to his words or actions.

"Look, I also got garlic butter rice... And pickled daikon radish, because I know you love these," Haein chattered on as he arranged everything on the table. However, the absence of any response after presenting her favorite dishes made him feel uneasy. He gradually halted his actions, turning his head to see Jisoo's blank expression.

"Baby?" Haein murmured softly, puzzled by her poker face. Jisoo remained silent, her expressionless gaze fixed on him. Haein began to feel a sense of unease, realizing that something was amiss. This unfamiliar behavior from Jisoo made him nervous, as he had never seen her like this before.

"Jisoo... baby... What's wrong?? Are you okay??" Haein inquired, concern evident in his voice. Jisoo swiftly shifted her gaze towards his hands, which were gripping the chair tightly for some reason. After a moment, she locked eyes with him once more.

"I'm not hungry! I'm going back to bed!" Jisoo declared coldly, turning to walk away. Perplexed by her reaction, Haein hurriedly moved to catch up with her.

"Baby!! Wait... just wait a second..." Haein called out, quickly reaching out to grab her right arm before she entered the room.

"What's wrong? You're not hungry? That's unbelievable, coming from you... you're always hungry..." Haein spoke, his gaze steady as he tried to decipher her vacant eyes. It dawned on him that she must have been crying, as her eyes appeared tired and red around the corners.
