"Haein, what's going on with you? Let me go!" Jisoo exclaimed, confusion evident in her voice as she struggled against his grip. Despite her efforts to push his hand away, he held firm, locking his gaze onto hers.

"I won't allow you to touch him ever again!" he declared, frustration lacing his words. A frown creased Jisoo's forehead as she narrowed her eyes, disbelief washing over her. She couldn't fathom why he was trying to control her actions. In that moment, something inside her shifted unexpectedly.

"What? Are you seriously telling me not to hug the person who just saved my son?!" Jisoo exclaimed, her voice laced with disbelief as she yanked her arm away from him. Haein's expression turned serious at her outburst, and he noticed the fire of anger igniting in her eyes.

"Listen... the man you're calling your son's savior is not who you think he is!" Haein said, frustration spilling over as he confronted her attitude. Jisoo felt a wave of confusion wash over her, her brow furrowing as she tried to process his words. She squinted at him, searching for clarity amidst the chaos of her emotions.

"What? What are you getting at?" she asked, her confusion deepening. Haein gently placed a hand on her shoulder, guiding her closer.

"Turn around! I want you to hear it from him directly!" Haein urged, assisting Jisoo in turning to face Daniel. The moment their eyes met, Daniel felt a wave of shame wash over him. He knew this confrontation was inevitable, and the realization stung. He despised the fact that Haein now held all the power in this situation. With no ties left to Jisoo, he had lost all reasons and excuses to remain by her side.

"What is happening??" Jisoo asked, bewildered by the strange and charged atmosphere between the two men. Haein shot Daniel a warning glance, which he noticed immediately. With a heavy sigh of resignation, Daniel turned his gaze to Jisoo, his eyes filled with regret.

"First off, I need you to know that I love you! I love you so deeply that I've been through a whirlwind of emotions, leading me to make choices I now regret. I really appreciate you telling me earlier, when I arrived at the hospital, that you forgive me for everything I've done to you!"

"But I want you to understand that everything I did came from a place of intense love! I let my obsessive, irrational, controlling, and selfish behavior take over because I thought I was protecting what was mine," Daniel confessed, his eyes glistening with unshed tears as he struggled to keep his emotions in check. Jisoo sensed the sincerity in his words, and her fingers tightened around the fabric of her dress, anxiety coursing through her. She could feel that something significant was about to unfold.

"Please forgive me! Forgive me for being such a complete jerk!" Daniel pleaded, desperation evident in his voice. Haein couldn't help but scoff quietly at the spectacle Daniel was making of himself in front of them.

"A jerk? You were much worse than that... you were an abuser and a damn psychopath! Don't even try to make me laugh!" Haein uttered, his voice rising with anger. Jisoo glanced back at Haein, sensing his frustration escalating, and quickly took his hand in an attempt to soothe him.

"Daniel, what is it that you really want to say to me?" Jisoo asked softly, her voice trembling. Daniel lowered his head, fighting to hold himself together.

"Jisoo, I'm not Mason's father!" he exclaimed, meeting her gaze once again. In that moment, everything around her seemed to blur, as if the world was fading away. The countless illusions she had held onto, the hopes she had nurtured, all began to unravel before her eyes.

"Minseok is... Haein's son?? Minseok is Haein's son!!" The realization struck her like a bolt of lightning, filling her with an overwhelming joy that radiated from deep within her soul. Slowly, she turned to face him, locking eyes with Haein as if they were drawn together by an invisible force. Their gazes held steady, each pair of eyes peering into the depths of the other's soul.
