There's a saying that life is a curious journey, as certain individuals enter our lives, bringing joy, laughter, and lessons in love. Yet, inevitably, they drift away, leaving us unable to locate them or fully erase their memory. We hold onto the moments shared with these remarkable people, like a cherished treasure chest filled with nostalgia.

It prompts us to ponder whether their presence was a stroke of luck or if they were destined to cross our paths at that particular moment. Each person navigates their own unique experiences, free to interpret every facet of their lives in their own way. For some, these encounters represent the pinnacle of happiness, while for others, they may evoke a contrasting sentiment.

There, in the bustling store, he spotted the one girl he had longed to see again. The girl he had always wished to protect. His gaze drifted to the stroller she was pushing, and a gentle smile spread across his face as he observed her from afar. As he raised his hand toward his lips, there was a sense of authority and vigor in his gesture, the cigarette dwindling in size with each drag. Soon, his lips tightened as he exhaled a cloud of smoke.

Stationed outside, he peered through the partially closed window of his car, his heart swelling with an indescribable joy at the sight of her angelic face. In that moment, he felt a familiar yet deeply buried emotion resurface, one he had experienced for a special someone from his past.

"How is she?" he inquired of his trusted and steadfast subordinate, who was seated inside the car. Heungmin, his loyalist, cleared his throat before responding.

"I've been watching her closely since her return! I've been gathering intel from her sister, who isn't particularly fond of her. According to what I've learned, it seems she's planning to stay in Korea for the long haul. And as you can see, she's well... she's a mother now. Her sister mentioned that she's living with the child's father," he said. A smile spread across the man's face at Heungmin's words, a wave of satisfaction flooding over him.

"She must be around twenty-five now, right?" he asked, and Heungmin nodded in agreement.

"Yes, Sajangnim!" Heungmin replied promptly, bowing his head slightly.

"I need you to look into the man she's with. I want every detail about him by tomorrow. Understood?" His voice was resolute, leaving no room for doubt.

"YES, SAJANGNIM!" Heungmin responded, his gaze steady but directed downward. Immediately, he opened the car door and stepped out, watching as his boss's vehicle vanished from sight. A furrow appeared on his brow as he caught sight of the girl once more inside the store.

"After all these years away, the first thing he wants to know is about you!" he murmured to himself, unable to tear his gaze away from her. With a surge of determination, he made the decision to enter the store.

"One size up, please... I'm afraid this won't fit," Jisoo said to the store assistant, her voice tinged with a hint of disappointment. She could feel the extra weight creeping back on, and it left her feeling less than thrilled.
