It is often said that the woman who can keep a secret is wise, but perhaps even wiser is the woman who has no secrets to keep. Those who have their own hidden secrets are often the biggest prudes. A true woman is one who resists temptations and stays faithful to the man she loves.

"Eomma? Why can't I go play by the pool? I'm so bored and I really want to play!" Jeonghun whined to his mother. It was Saturday, so he didn't have school, and his father was out of town, leaving him with nothing to do.

"Please, eomeoni...please... I promise I won't bother you!" Jeonghun pleaded with his mother. Goeun continued to brush her hair, not responding to her son. She sighed as she saw him crying for attention.

"Jeonghun! Why are you such a bother? You're a big boy, so stop crying! Can't you be quiet for just a minute? Your sister is still asleep in her room, don't wake her up!" Goeun scolded her son sternly. Jeonghun continued to sniffle as tears rolled down his cheeks. Goeun sighed once more and quickly stood up from the vanity chair.

"Listen... you can't go play outside by the pool because it's not safe... you know my dear friend is coming today, and I won't be able to watch over you! Please, sweetheart, don't be upset? How about this – I promise to buy you ice cream later today and let you play at the park for a while... would you like that?" Goeun said with a smile in her eyes. She gently wiped his tears with the hem of his shirt. Jeonghun smiled slightly and nodded to his mother.

"That's my Jeonghun... my handsome boy!" Goeun said affectionately, quickly kissing him on the cheek. Suddenly, the doorbell rang, diverting Goeun's attention to the person waiting outside the door.

"My baby... now, you know what to do, right? Just go to your room and don't come out until Mom tells you, okay?" Goeun said with determination in her eyes. Jeonghun recognized that look. It only appeared when his mother's friend was visiting.

"Eomma, are you going to be with your friend for a long time like last time?" Jeonghun asked, disappointed because he wanted to go to the park as soon as possible. Goeun cleared her throat and gently caressed his right cheek.

"Well... I don't think so, my dear... I'll try my best to make her leave as soon as possible, okay? Just be a good boy and do your schoolwork, so that your dad can review it when he gets back tomorrow, okay?" She said. Jeonghun smiled and nodded.

"Yes, Eomma, I will finish my homework today!" He said excitedly upon hearing that his father was coming back tomorrow.

"Okay, let's go!" She said, taking his hand and leading him to his room. Once they reached his room, she quickly kissed him on the forehead.

"Now wait for me to come back, okay?" She said, then quickly closed the door and locked it with the keys from her pocket.

Jeonghun grabbed his backpack, notebook, and assignment book. He began working on his homework diligently, eager to finish so he could go to the park later. Fully focused, he worked peacefully to get it done.
