The journey home was filled with an awkward tension. Haein had been unusually distant, showing little excitement about their baby's ultrasound. He avoided meeting Jisoo's gaze, which only heightened her anxiety and discomfort. As soon as they reached home, he moved to the back of the car, grabbing Minseok's carrier without so much as a glance in her direction. Jisoo watched him enter the house alone, her heart heavy with sadness. She fought back tears, desperate not to cry in front of him. Clenching the strap of her bag, she hurried inside.

Once she stepped in, she noticed him preparing Minseok for his bath, which brought a faint smile to her lips. She bit her cheeks softly, trying to suppress the swirl of emotions within her. Taking a seat on the couch, she continued to watch him, but he soon retreated into their room to give Minseok a bath. Jisoo quickly checked the time and realized she needed to start dinner right away.

"Ugh! Let's see what I can whip up for dinner," she muttered to herself as she headed to the kitchen. Jisoo poured her energy into cooking for nearly an hour, and by the time she finished, she realized that Haein hadn't emerged from their bedroom since he had put their son down for the night. She quickly set the table, ensuring everything was ready, before making her way to their room.

"Haein?" Jisoo spoke softly, noticing the room was shrouded in darkness. She reached for the light switch and flicked it on, her heart sinking at the sight of Haein curled up in bed. A frown crossed her face as she leaned closer to check on him.

"Baby?! Haein!" she called gently, taking a seat beside him. Moments later, she saw him slowly open his eyes, the weariness evident in his expression.

"Baby... I made dinner... your favorite... bulgogi with kimchi and spinach!" she said gently, trying to coax him. But Haein looked at her with a blank expression.

"I'm not hungry... I'd prefer to sleep, if you don't mind," he replied curtly. Jisoo's heart sank, and she tucked her long hair behind her ear to see him better.

"Haein? What's really going on with you? You're acting so strangely... it's upsetting me!" she said, her voice trembling as tears began to well in her eyes. Haein noticed her distress and let out a heavy sigh.

"Look... it should be pretty clear why I'm feeling this way! I just need some space... I want to sort through my feelings on my own right now," he replied, his tone sharp. Jisoo frowned deeply at his words, hurt and frustrated by his distance.

"Is this really because I was talking to him? HAEIN... YOU CAN'T BE THIS MAD OVER THAT!" Jisoo exclaimed, her voice rising as tears flowed down her cheeks. Haein's expression darkened at her outburst.

"Oh... well I'm sorry if I'm acting like this! It's just that I can't shake the feeling that my woman was getting a little too cozy with another man!" he retorted bitterly, his words dripping with sarcasm. Jisoo felt her heart shatter further at his insinuation, the idea that he believed she was flirting with someone else sending a wave of hurt crashing over her.
