Time flew by in the blink of an eye. Before she knew it, she was just one day away from boarding a flight to China. Her mind was restless, knowing that after her business trip in China, she would have to immediately head to South Korea. It felt like time was dragging on, yet also slipping away too fast. Jisoo was mentally gearing up for the upcoming extensive visits to both companies in Asia.

Her professional mindset was sharp and focused, ready to tackle every negotiation aspect and strategy that awaited her. However, her personal thoughts were consumed by him. Memories of every moment they shared in the past few weeks flooded her mind, making her heart race with emotions.

The internal conflict tormented her deeply, as she despised feeling disloyal to her fiancé. Cursing herself silently at night when thoughts of him invaded her mind, she yearned to break free from the chains of her past. Jisoo longed to embrace a future where she could love freely and be with someone who was truly right for her. Her love for Daniel was genuine; he had been her rock during her early days in the US when they first met at university.

He had been her guide, teaching her the ways of American culture and helping her break free from the constraints of her upbringing. Initially a culture shock, she eventually adapted, all thanks to his support. Daniel had the ability to make her embrace the present and leave her past behind. However, the fear crept in that all she had learned and overcome with his help would unravel the moment she returned to Korea.

Jisoo had arrived home after a tiring day at the office. It was the peak of summer, and the oppressive heat made her shed her clothes, leaving her only in her white blouse from work. With a deep dislike for the hot weather, she lounged around the house nearly naked. Lying on her stomach on the bed, she feverishly typed away on her laptop, her mind swirling with words and ideas that she eagerly wanted to capture in the document.

*ZZZZZzzzz*

*ZZZzzzzzzzzzz*

A wide smile lit up Jisoo's face as she heard the familiar buzz of the doorbell. Swiftly leaping out of bed, she dashed towards the entrance with a sense of joy. Glancing at the intercom screen, she saw Daniel standing outside, pressing the buzzer with a pizza box in hand. Another smile graced her lips as she bit down on her bottom lip, anticipation and happiness dancing in her eyes.

"Who are you, sir?" Jisoo inquired, a mischievous grin playing on her lips. Daniel raised an eyebrow in response to her playful question.

"I'm Daniel Copper... Miss... I'm the pizza delivery guy!" he replied with a hint of amusement in his voice. Jisoo couldn't contain her smile, her eyes sparkling with joy.

"Mmm... I'm sorry, but I don't recall ordering any pizza... you must have the wrong address, sir!" Jisoo retorted, a playful glint in her eyes. Daniel stuck out his tongue slightly and teasingly licked his bottom lip.

"Really? Isn't this Atlas Residency, apartment number 4?" Daniel inquired, a hint of confusion in his voice.

"Well, yes, Mr. Delivery Guy... This is Atlas Residency, apartment number 4, but as I mentioned, I didn't order a pizza!" Jisoo responded, her tone carrying a hint of exasperation.

"Oh, that's unfortunate... because the lucky recipient of this pizza was going to enjoy a thick-crust meat lover's pizza with extra cheese, peppers, jalapeños, and black olives. And let's not forget the stuffed garlic cheese bread that comes with it," Daniel replied, tantalizing Jisoo with the mouthwatering description. Her favorite pizza toppings combined with her hunger made her mouth water at the thought.

"It's a shame... I guess I'll just have to take it back then!" Daniel said teasingly through the intercom camera outside. However, as soon as he finished speaking, the door swung open before him, revealing a mischievous smile on Jisoo's face.
