It was eight in the morning, and Haein was filled with joy. The previous night had brought him the most incredible news: Jisoo was expecting their second child. He could hardly contain his excitement as he looked forward to accompanying her to the doctor's appointment later in the day. They had initially planned to go in the morning, but Haein had to push it back due to an important meeting with a key shareholder. This individual had recently acquired a significant portion of the company's shares, and Haein knew it was crucial to show respect and consideration to the second-largest shareholder after himself.

"Hanri, could you please get me a cup of coffee? I didn't have time to make one this morning!" Haein said, his voice tinged with frustration as he worried about being late because of the heavy traffic.

"Of course, sajangnim! I'll get it for you right away!" Hanri replied, bowing slightly before hurrying out of the office.

Haein sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Ugh, I really need to stop losing focus in the mornings! It's messing with my schedule," he muttered, glancing up at the ceiling in exasperation. He had been lost in thought about Jisoo when suddenly, his cellphone buzzed, jarring him back to reality. He quickly shifted his gaze to the device resting on his desk.

"Hyuna?" Haein murmured as he glanced at the caller ID.

"What do you want now?!" he said, irritation creeping into his voice as he picked up the call.

"Hello?" he replied.

"Haein! We need to talk!" she exclaimed, skipping any pleasantries. In that moment, he realized this was serious.

"Talk about what, exactly, Hyuna? I really don't enjoy our conversations, since all you do is belittle me and spin these false stories that I'm fed up with!" he shot back. Hyuna tightened her grip on the phone, feeling a surge of frustration and determination.

"Haein... I'm finally going to explain why I made Jisoo leave the house! I'll reveal everything behind that moment!" she responded, her tone intense. Haein was taken aback by her words and slowly pushed himself away from his chair, making his way to the window in his office.

"Why the sudden revelation? Is it because my children are about to come live with Jisoo and me? I know you both realize I'm going to win this case!" Haein replied, a smirk forming on his lips. The tension in Hyuna's voice intensified, and she clenched her other hand into a fist.

"You're making a massive mistake by falling for her, Haein! You have no idea what kind of woman you have in your house!" she warned. Haein raised an eyebrow in disbelief. He could hardly fathom that she was trying to cast her own daughter in such a negative light.

"I don't have time for this! If you're going to start insulting Jisoo—your own daughter—over the phone, I won't tolerate it, do you hear me? She is and will always be my partner, so I demand respect when it comes to her! Now, have a good day!" Haein said icily before hanging up the call. He let out a loud sigh, feeling the irritation wash over him.

"What is wrong with her? She constantly drains my energy, just like Goeun! I can't believe Jisoo is even related to them; she is so completely different!" he muttered to himself, shaking his head in disbelief. Just then, he heard a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Haein called out. Hanri entered, balancing a small tray with a steaming cup of coffee on top.

"Here's your coffee, sir!" she said cheerfully. Haein's mood lifted as he quickly approached her.

"Thank you..." he replied, taking the cup from her hands with a grateful smile.

"Sajangnim! I also wanted to let you know that your visitor has arrived!" she added, her tone bright. Haein raised his eyebrows slightly, a sense of anticipation building within him.
