After dropping off his son at Goeun's house, he set off towards his brother's place. The clock showed seven in the evening and the sun had already disappeared beyond the horizon. Navigating through the bustling streets of Seoul, he drove towards his brother's house as they had planned to meet and discuss the investigation initiated by Haejun to assist Jisoo.

Speeding up and maneuvering through lanes, he made his way towards Insadong, where his brother's apartment was situated. The main street was overflowing with pedestrians, forcing him to take a detour in order to reach his brother's apartment complex.

"Hyung!! You made it! How are you?" Haejun exclaimed enthusiastically as he spotted his brother pulling up nearby. Haein grinned and promptly stepped out of the car to warmly greet his brother.

"I'm hanging in there... How about you?" Haein replied, his smile tinged with uncertainty. Haejun placed a reassuring hand on his brother's shoulder and nodded in understanding.

"Good... I was just out walking the dog. Let's go in!" Haejun proposed, and they both made their way inside towards Haejun's apartment.

"Would you like something to drink?" Haejun inquired after taking off his dog's collar.

"Sure, a beer sounds good," Haein replied, making his way over to the expansive glass window. He gazed out at the spectacular view from his brother's apartment. Haejun soon joined him, handing over a chilled can of beer.

"So... everything okay? I can tell by your expression it's about Jeonghun," Haejun spoke with concern towards his brother. Haein instinctively covered the right side of his face, feeling a lump form in his throat.

Haejun was taken aback by his brother's unexpected reaction. Slowly turning to face him, he was devastated to see tears streaming down Haein's left cheek.

"Hyung, what's wrong... Did something happen with the custody battle?" Haejun inquired, his concern evident as he placed a comforting hand on his brother's shoulder. Haein took a deep breath, attempting to regain his composure. He cleared his throat and swiftly wiped away his tears with his hand.

"My son... he's different now, Haejun. And it's all because of me... my fault," Haein struggled to confess. Haejun's expression darkened as he absorbed his brother's words.

"What are you saying, Hyung? We both know who's really to blame here, and it's not you!" Haejun muttered firmly. Haein let out a small scoff and turned to face his brother.

"But it's me who has to make the decision about ending my marriage with Goeun, no one else! I'm the one being stubborn. I'm the one refusing to forgive. I'm the one not making an effort to reconcile with the mother of my child! And it's me who's causing him all this pain, Haejun... just because I can't bring myself to forgive her!" Haein spoke out loudly, tears streaming down his cheeks. Haejun let out a deep sigh as he listened to his brother's heartfelt confession, understanding the weight of his words.

"Hyung, I understand where you're coming from... but you can't fault yourself for struggling to forgive the woman who cheated on you for a whole year. Goeun doesn't deserve you! You're too good of a man to take her back! I know she's the mother of your child, but that's where it ends... Do you still have feelings for her, Hyung?" Haejun inquired with a steady gaze. Haein's eyes snapped shut as he let out a heavy breath once more.

"I don't... I don't feel anything except anger! Everything I once felt for her died the moment I caught her with that bastard! All I've felt towards her since then is rage, disgust, and repulsion. And now it's just anger because she's being petty about our son's custody! She's heartless... making me regret ever loving her in the first place!" Haein vented in frustration. Haejun let out a heavy sigh and ran a hand through his hair.
