Haein raced through the city streets, consumed by an overwhelming urge to confront Goeun. He needed answers—answers about Jeonghun's blood test results that had shattered the fragile world he thought he understood. As he sped toward Hyuna's house, a crushing pain gripped his chest, making each breath feel like a struggle. Confusion swirled around him, and fury darkened his gaze, while tears of betrayal streamed down his cheeks. He had scoured every corner of the city in search of the woman he believed had deceived him about their son for years. Now, the only place left to check was Hyuna's home.

With a jolt, he parked his car in front of her house, flinging the door open and sprinting up the pathway. He pounded his fists against the door, desperation fueling his frantic assault.

"HYUNNAAA!!!" Haein's voice echoed through the air, raw and frantic, like a man on the brink of despair. Inside the kitchen, Hyuna's heart raced at the sound of his anguished cries. Without a moment's hesitation, she tore off her apron and rushed to the door.

"Haein?? What's going on?? Is something wrong with my grandchildren?" she asked, her voice laced with concern as she took in his distressed expression. She had never seen him like this before; the pain in his eyes was palpable, a reflection of profound sorrow and turmoil.

"WHERE IS GOEUN??? WHERE IS SHEEEE!!" he bellowed, his outrage spilling over as the veins in his neck throbbed with intensity. The desperation in his voice sent chills down Hyuna's spine, leaving her uncertain of how to answer.

"I...I...I don't know!! She must be with Heungmin!" Hyuna stammered, fear and confusion swirling within her at the sight of Haein's frantic state.

Without warning, Haein grasped her arms tightly, catching her off guard.

"Haein???" she gasped, struggling to grasp the reality of the situation. But then, the sight of him crumpling before her shattered her heart.

"Hyuna...ah...uhhh...I!!!! I feel like...uhhh...I...I...can't breathe...!!!" he wailed, his voice breaking as he sank to his knees. Seeing him falter, Hyuna instinctively tightened her grip on his arms, desperate to keep him steady as despair overtook him.

"HAEIN!! What's happening...what's wrong?? PLEASE... just say something!!!" Hyuna cried out, her voice tinged with panic as she tried to cradle his face in her hands. She could feel the warmth slipping away, the life in his eyes dimming.

But then, just like that, the light flickered out completely. Everything around him turned to shadows, and the vibrant world he once knew was swallowed by an overwhelming darkness.
