Stealthily, Haein slipped into his suite, his movements silent as he approached the cabinet. With a delicate touch, he placed the box of condoms inside, making sure not to make a sound. Every action he took was calculated; he was cautious not to give the impression that he had been planning this moment all along.
"Haein? Is that you?" Jisoo exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise as she heard footsteps approaching from the far corner of the room. Haein swiftly emerged from the hallway, locking eyes with Jisoo.
"Hey! I got your stuff," he whispered as he placed the paper bag on the center table in front of her.
"Oh, thank you...! By the way, did you check on my place? Is she still there?" she asked. Haein met her gaze and nodded quickly in response.
"She's still there! You have a pretty dedicated secretary, I must say. She hasn't moved from your place ever since we saw her just a while ago," Haein remarked as he took a seat next to her on the couch. However, a pang of remorse nagged at him as he recalled his deception. He had actually checked if Suzy was present and found that she had left Jisoo's suite, but he didn't want her to depart from his own place. So, he chose to lie. Jisoo let out a frustrated sigh.
"Oh, I really want to get to my room!" Jisoo exclaimed in frustration at her predicament. Haein smiled at her and gently took her right hand. Startled by his sudden gesture, Jisoo fixed her gaze on him, puzzled by his actions.
"You said you wanted to take a shower... just use mine for now," he said, his eyes gleaming. Jisoo swallowed hard, feeling uneasy, and attempted to gently pull her hand away from his grip.
"Um... I don't know, I would prefer not to," Jisoo said nervously. Haein's brow furrowed as he processed her response.
"Are you serious? You won't use my shower? Why? I don't mind. You have to at least get yourself cleaned up," Haein insisted. Jisoo clutched the sides of her dress tightly, feeling nervous and uncertain.
"Uhmm... fine... but I don't have any clean clothes here," Jisoo voiced.
"Don't worry about that, you can wear my robe from the bathroom in the meantime! Or I can lend you a big T-shirt?" Haein offered. Jisoo nervously bit her lip, feeling unsure about the situation.
"No, I think the robe will be just fine! I mean, it's the hotel's robe, right?" she asked. He smiled and nodded in response.
"Okay... where's the bathroom?" Jisoo inquired. Haein promptly stood up and gestured with his hand in the direction. Jisoo gave him a nervous smile and attempted to stand up quickly. She sensed that he might be waiting for her to ask for help, but she was determined to find her way there on her own.
"Jisoo... I can help you," Haein offered as he observed her struggling to hop on one foot towards the bathroom. Jisoo paused and grasped onto the chair beside her for support.
"No, I'm fine... I can manage on my own!" Jisoo asserted confidently. However, her confidence quickly wavered as the chair she was relying on suddenly slipped away.
"JISOO!!!" Haein exclaimed in alarm as he witnessed her fall to the ground. He hurriedly rushed to her side.
"Are you okay...?" he asked with concern. Jisoo let out a frustrated sigh.
"I'm fine... I'm fine... ughh... please just help me get into the bathroom!" she said in defeat. Haein couldn't hold back a chuckle at the sight of her scrunched-up face. She was clearly frustrated and embarrassed.
"Alright, Miss Kim, let's get you to the shower," he said, swiftly lifting her up from the ground as if she weighed no more than a feather. Once inside the bathroom, Haein gently placed her against the wall inside the shower.
