So, I'm taking some inspiration from Arkham Knight, which is kind of obvious since this entire story is taking inspiration from the Arkham Series, so if you've played/watched it, you'll know it when you see it.

No comments for today, I couldn't find a good one.

White Diamond followed Steven home, so she can make sure he sleeps. She caught him not sleeping by staring into his eyes earlier and noticing the sleep deprivation in his eyes.

"I promise you that no one will be trying to kill you while you sleep tonight." White Diamond said, following Steven upstairs.

"You can't promise something like that." Steven sighed, opening his door once he reached the top of his stairs.

"I can."

Steven looked back. "How?"

"I'll watch over you."

Steven sighed again. He remembered when Pearl did this to him when he was a toddler. He should've kept his mouth shut and slept, because now he's going to have White Diamond stare at him like Pearl did.

Steven flopped on the bed, ready to sleep and get this over with.

"Change your clothes." White Diamond said. "You can't sleep in your dirty, sweaty clothes."

Steven sighed and got up from his bed. White Diamond looked the other way, allowing Steven the privacy of changing into his pajamas. She knew when he was finished, because she heard him climbing back into his bed.

Steven went to sleep fairly quickly from his exhausted body. White Diamond watched him sleep soundly. It's quite ironic to have her watch him while he slept, because when they first met, she was haunting his dreams.

Now she's making sure that nobody could harm him while he slept. Curious to see what he was dreaming about, White Diamond's hand touched his head and she looked into his dreams. She was quite surprised to see what nightmares Steven's mind could conjure up on his own.

None of these bad dreams were from her influence. If you're wanting to know what he was dreaming about, it's best if you don't know. She thought of a new idea.

If she could haunt his dreams, then maybe she could help give him a good dream. It makes sense, right? If she can influence his mind to make him experience disturbing sequences during slumber, then maybe she could influence his mind to make him see something more wholesome.

She tried it, and it worked. White Diamond smiled, proud of herself that she can use her powers for good rather than evil purposes. She didn't care that she'll be stuck leaning down and with her hand on his head for the next ten hours or more, if Steven can rest comfortably, then it's worth it.

Twelve Hours Later:

The sun was up and White Diamond was just leaving. She was confident enough to believe that  Steven could sleep for another hour or so without her watching him. Nobody tried to break into his room and kill Steven while he slept, probably because White Diamond's radiance was enough to scare off any rebels that wanted to kill him.

She also made sure that throughout the entire night Steven had peaceful and wholesome dreams to sleep easy. After all he's been through, the least he deserves is peaceful rest at night. When she leaves, she has no interactions with anyone in the house.
