Black and White Diamond were in the eldest Diamond's personal room, mostly trying to figure out a way to split the room in half for both of them to share.

Since Black is her twin sister, White thinks it's only fair to share her room with her - especially since for all the lost time they spent away from each other.

Black doesn't intend to leave the room anytime soon, mostly because of the fact nobody else in the Palace would like her or enjoy her company - even Spinel.

"There." White Diamond dusted her hands after painting a black line on the floor to figuratively split the room between them. "You can pick one side and I'll take the other."

"What... What about your pearl?" Black Diamond inquired, feeling nervous about having to also share the room with Volleyball - who would definitely frown upon her staying in the Palace.

Everyone says that Black should stay locked up.

"Volleyball?" White chirps, looking back at her as she was bent over to pick up the paint bucket. "She doesn't stay in my room anymore."

"Why?"

"Because she wanted to have her own room, and so I made one for her and HG to share."White Diamond replied kindly as she put up the paint bucket. "Those two are the busiest bees I've ever seen, let me tell you."

Black Diamond didn't find humor in her expression, mostly because she was speaking in human-slang and that's something she doesn't know how to comprehend.

White smiles fondly at this, because it reminds her of the time when she was confused by Samuel's slang and he had to teach her every single bit of humanity's quirks and customs. "Don't worry, I'll teach you what that means at some point. Let's just get the room accommodated."

Knock-knock!

Black flinched at this, but she wasn't sure why. She feels like she committed a crime just by being out of her cell, but who's going to put her back in it if White Diamond herself sprang her free?

Steven Universe, she presumed - but why would he be here?

The eldest Diamond relaxes the troubled Diamond with her calm and smooth demeanor. "Don't worry, you're okay here. I promise."

She opened her door to see Volleyball patiently standing in the hallway with her hands clasped together. "Hello, I forgot to grab my--"

"I already have it." White Diamond handed her the screwdriver. "I knew you would be looking for it after I borrowed it."

"Thanks." Volleyball softly chuckled at her Diamond's ability to just know what everyone is thinking - sometimes being envious of it. "Sorry to intrude, but may I speak to you in the hall?"

"Sure." White Diamond steps out and closes the door behind her, mostly so Black doesn't panic about being seen. "What is it?"

"You didn't have to lie to her about me wanting my own room." Volleyball's smile slightly drooped. "You could've just told her that you asked me to move out."

"I know..." White sighs as she put an apologetic hand on the pearl's shoulder. "I just didn't want her to think she wasn't wanted here, or that I was spoiling her just because she's family. I'm so sorry that I asked you to do this... I know you preferred living in my personal quarters, but I didn't want to make the both of you uncomfortable."
