Jade and Kunzite were strolling down the sidewalk, utterly disappointed with their employer.
"'Steven this, Steven that' It's all about Steven anymore with her." Kunzite complains, keeping Jade in arms length so she could protect her from rebels who fight for sport.
"I don't understand what drives her mad about him..." Jade shivered, not from the cold, but from how much Moonlight is losing it overtime.
"I'm thinking we should resign before we're stuck in something far worse than now." Kunzite looked around before resuming their walk.
"What's wrong?" Jade asked.
"I feel like someone's watching us." Kunzite whispered. "Ever since we've left Steven's house, I've had a bad feeling."
"Guilt?" Jade guessed.
"No... I have that feeling like I've committed a crime..." Kunzite shuddered. "We need to get home before it's too late."
Before any of them knew what happened next, Kunzite was tackled and Jade was knocked over. Both of them caught a quick glimpse of who was responsible. It was Steven Universe.
Jade gasped at the sight of this human. She hadn't seen him since the night he tortured her. Kunzite was going to get up and grab her weapon, but Steven pinned her to the ground with his foot crushing her head.
"Where is Moonlight...?" Steven asked in a low voice that makes him sound like a snarling animal.
"I don't know!" Kunzite answered, almost sounding like she's lying.
Steven leaned down, his face hidden by darkness and applying pressure to Kunzite's head. Jade was too terrified and traumatized to move or help her partner.
"You're lying to me..." Steven gruffly growled.
"I don't--"
"LIAR!" Steven shouted, glowing pink. "MOONLIGHT KILLED MY FATHER!"
"Wh-WHAT?!" Kunzite gasped and choked while Steven's foot was pulverizing her head slowly and painfully.
"You were at my house!" Steven growled. "YOU WERE THERE! NOW WHERE IS MOONLIGHT?!"
"I don't kno--" Kunzite choked when Steven moved his foot to her throat.
