Yes, I used spring-lock suits as inspiration for Rose's twisted game in the last chapter.

And Rose isn't liking that the protagonists are surviving her deathtraps.

3rd Person P.O.V.

Volleyball just finished tending to Samuel's wounds, trying to distract herself from her own mind trying to be cruel to itself. She keeps hearing the woman she saw from that video in her head, continually wailing, desperately crawling, gurgling blood and the eerily silence that occurred upon her death. And then Rose resurrects her so she can suffer as long as the flower wants her to.

Volleyball can't stop herself from hearing it, the screams cementing its stay in her mind. What makes it even worse is that the woman had a life, had a family that doesn't even know what happened to this woman. Unless Rose had given them crude closure by killing them.

Honestly, either option is fitting for Rose. Keeping her death a secret will put her family through the psychological trauma of their mother/daughter/sister/aunt disappearing - making them think she was either abducted or she just left them. And then the other brutal option is just killing them, most likely the same way - which doesn't make it any better for Volleyball.

It's things like this that made Volleyball upset when White Diamond started teaching her how to fight, because she would have to get involved in these dangerous situations and adventures. She was comfortable being inside of White Diamond's room most of the time, being the technical assistant and inventor of the gadgets White Diamond uses. She liked being the support instead of being on the front lines, away from all of the madness and tragedies.

She wouldn't have seen a human being reduced to minced meat... Though, Rose took them both by surprise, so perhaps it was impossible for her to avoid witnessing that horrible video.

Samuel witnesses Volleyball's eyes watering. "Are you okay?"

"N-No... No..." Volleyball tried wiping her tears away, but it wouldn't take away the look on her face that shows her fearful and traumatized expression.

Samuel immediately knew what to do and hugged her, providing her some comfort in the embrace. "It's okay, it's okay."

"N-No, no it's n-not..." Volleyball held onto him for dear life. "I-It was so awful..."

The more she thought about the video, the tighter she hugged him. She can't unhear the screams, she can't unsee the bloodied suit and... Samuel's dismembered body from election night. She still felt the survivor's guilt that night, the night Moonlight attacked the Palace after she was drugged by the rebels.
