There's a rewrite of Chapters 16-19 available, pretty much the entire Valentine's Day rewrite. Is it canon, or could it be considered canon? Sadly, no.
There are probably some plotholes I overlooked, and the near end and ending are what drives it separate from this story. But it's an interesting read, nonetheless, at least I think it is.

So, Ellie and Rose basically said that they both get kinks from Steven's brutality, good to know (I'm joking, unless you actually do get kinks from this, and if so, cool).
3rd Person P.O.V.
The Palace:
White Diamond was baffled at what Steven had told her. "Y-You're what?!"
"I'm taking a vacation." Steven reiterated his previous sentence, that the readers did not hear or read in the last chapter.
"But you can't leave!" Blue Diamond cried. "Who would protect us if you retire?"
"First off: I'm not retiring. At least, not yet." Steven started off, almost chuckling. "And second: the Crystal Gems will protect Earth and White will protect Homeworld."
Yellow and Blue Diamond were still flabbergasted that the mysterious Obsidian gem had been White Diamond all along. And White Diamond, despite her six months of being Steven's sidekick, still doubts that she's capable of defending Homeworld on her own, even with Steven's gadgets at her disposal and her martial arts training engraved in her mind and body.
"B-But, Steven...!" White Diamond stuttered. "I am nothing without your guidance!"
Steven put his palms on the side of White Diamond's thin biceps to console her. "Trust me when I say that you're capable of handling this on your own."
White Diamond didn't felt ready, though. Steven might say she's ready and she physically might be ready, but not in spirit.
"Why don't you stay in the Palace for your vacation?" Yellow Diamond offered, trying to hide the fear in her eyes, something Blue and White Diamond failed to hide, though they probably didn't bother to hide it.
"It's tempting, but the point of this vacation is to get away from all of this." Steven replied, slightly with a sigh.
"Steven, please..." White Diamond begs, almost getting on her knees.
"White, you don't have to be afraid anymore." Steven tried his best to sooth her without revealing her insecurities, because White Diamond prefers him not to.
