THIS should've been the thumbnail for Chapter 19, but Steven never made it to the top of the injector, so it wouldn't have made much sense.

The new trend is that Momma White is best White, so it's possible that Steven from the Arkham story does that. It's actually very sad that Canon Steven never forgave White Diamond, and never said goodbye to her and the others.
But Arkham Steven belongs to me, and if White Diamond ever did that to him, he'd forgive her, eventually.
Honestly, I think Arkham Steven is better than Canon Steven, in terms of personality and power. What do you guys think?
Steven's eyes slowly opened, indicating that he was waking. But he wished he hadn't, because he can feel immense pain in his back. The last thing Steven remembers is that Moonlight broke his spine in half and then he passed out.
His equipment was taken from him. His Detective Mode specs, Explosive Gel and Cryptographic Sequencer is missing. Despite his agony, he heard two gems talking.
"When will I kill him?"
"Not yet. He isn't broken yet."
"'Not broken?' His back got broken in two pieces! How much more is there to break?!"
"Until he gives up, there is plenty of more to break."
"You said I would be able to kill him at this time!"
"And take away his current pain? Don't you want him to suffer?"
"He's suffered enough, and he belongs to ME! You owe me!"
"I will give you what is left of him when this is over. Your patience will be rewarded soon."
"Fine. Fine!"
The Crystal Knight leaves. Black Diamond turned around and approached Steven, crouching down next to him on the bed.
"Rise and shine." Black Diamond greets.
"Why... Why won't you just kill me...?" Steven asked breathlessly, wondering what's the point of being alive anymore.
"You don't fear death, you welcome it." Black Diamond addressed calmly. "Your punishment is to be more severe."
