Seven thousand reads! Yay, I guess. It's not my most-read story, but I'm glad it has enough reads on it to be a little bit high. Anyone else notice that the time it takes to read all of it is about twenty-six hours?

Imagine binge-reading Arkham Edition... The fact that it would take less time to read all of this than to binge-watch Steven Universe in one sitting.

3rd Person P.O.V.

Pink felt her heart shatter when the Knight said that. She still feels the remorse of an entire gem cut being shattered because of her decision to impersonate this particular gem in front of her. And worst of all she has to live with her face being only known as the war criminal Pink used to be - that's why she wore the mask, otherwise everyone would think she's Rose Quartz that ruined Homeworld's integrity forever.

Steven - despite feeling bad for her - still didn't like how she's making his mother feel bad. But he's not going to interject, mostly because he doesn't know what to say.

"I... I don't know..." Pink Diamond admits, very nervous of what the correct answer was.

If she said it was worth it, the Knight would feel offended and that might trigger an undesired consequence from her. If she said it wasn't worth it, then the Knight could ask her why she did it in the first place.

Neither of those options sound good, as they still make her look like a bad Diamond in the Knight's eyes.

The Knight sighs, lowering her head and her pink hair shielding her face from their view.

"I see..." The Knight's voice still remains as chilling as it was when they met her earlier.

"Are you... Are you wanting something else...?" Pink Diamond inquired, still attempting to appease the tormented rose quartz since she definitely needs some sort of closure after everything she's been through.

But... Steven does have the right to bring her to the penitentiary, as she's still charged with affiliating with the rebellion.

"No..." The Crystal Knight reaches in her pocket to grab and equip a mask that concealed her head.

This mask wasn't the robot-looking one that made her voice and tone sound robotic. Steven became even more defensive upon her masking, he never had a lot of fond memories with masked individuals.

"Rose...?" Pink Diamond calls out, wondering if she's sensitive toward that name.

Steven isn't going to let the Knight know that there's another Rose - the flower - around, but that wouldn't be necessary.
