Chapter 45: A Rose By Any Other Name

Okay, I have a story to share about that image of Rose. I was looking a PNG image of Rose, and then I found this. But the website name and topic was intriguing to me, so I investigated it. It's an idea wiki for the game Rose is based on to be produced on Netflix (this isn't official, otherwise I'd been scouring Netflix until I found Rose). 

Rose's character is described like this:

One of the three agents of LEAF. Rose has changed over the course of time, being more about seduction and love than royalty. She uses this to charm zombies instead of just turning them into goats. Better spoken words than "baaa"s.

She is voiced by Grey DeLisle.

Dude... Grey DeLisle is a popular voice actress. I only know her voicing Catwoman from the Batman Arkham games and Vicky from Fairly Oddparents. Now every time I write and read Rose's lines, I keep imagining Catwoman's seductive voice coming out of her mouth and trying to seduce someone (probably you and me since she's aware of the fourth wall).

"Wait... The Sorceress...  The Sorce... It's a sorceress? Steven... you messing with the flower?" - Ellie trying to deduce Steven's significant other and  remembering the chapter title. 

3rd Person P.O.V.

"E-Excuse me?!" White Diamond stuttered at Rose being direct.

"You're only still alive because I've humored you, now I'm bored and you're not amusing anymore." Rose retorts. "So, tell me why I shouldn't shatter you."

White Diamond tried to read Rose's mind, but something was stopping her. This was most unusual, no one could block White Diamond from reading their minds. Rose is an even bigger threat now, since White Diamond can't learn a thing about her with her power.

And without that, no one could gain the psychological advantage over the flower, not even Huge Gigantacus. 

"I'm going to count to ten, and when I reach that number, I'll reduce your gem to shards and wear your remains as a necklace." Rose threatens as her wand glows dark red.

White Diamond doesn't know what that means, but she has a good feeling that it isn't good.

"One..."

White Diamond's lip quivered.

"Two..."

What could she say to stop Rose from counting?

"Three..."

Rose's enhancing voice isn't helping her.

"Four..."

It's only making her panic on the inside more.

"Five... Six... Seven... Eight... Ni--"

"I've heard so much about you, I just wanted to meet you!!!" White Diamond blurts out, not entirely understanding what she had just said.

This outburst was enough to leave Rose perplexed. "Hmm?"

"I've never seen anyone like you before, a-and when HG told me about you, I was just so excited that I wanted to meet you right away..." White Diamond was on the verge of tears, never feeling so vulnerable and finite when she's faced against someone who is capable of ending her life in mere seconds and possibly do the same to everyone she loves just for a whim. "I-I just want to meet the legendary sorceress HG made such a big deal about... PLEASE DON'T SHATTER ME!"
