Steven Universe... but Steven has all of his powers at the start and he has the personality of Batman from the Arkham Series.
Steven entered a room and the ghost immediately got into his view, trying to block him from seeing what was behind her. But Steven could tell that Black Diamond is in this room, he can just feel it.
"Okay, this is it! Black Diamond's just in this room. So, are you gonna stop her? Or are we gonna get a hit of that magic gas she emits?" The ghost sniffs the air. "Oh yeah, I can smell it. I'm getting stronger the more you breathe this stuff. Can you really distinguish reality and fantasy? Fact and fiction? Hmm... well, let's find out!"
She stepped out of his way and allowed him to move forward. But there was a problem now, there were two Black Diamonds in this room, no doubt a trick from the ghost. She did ask him if he could tell what's real and what isn't real, he just wasn't prepared for it.
"Roll up! Roll up! It's 'Pick The Real Black Diamond Show!' So, where's our first contestant?" Then the ghost points at Steven. "You! The one with the pink jacket! Step up and have a go. What's your name, sir? Steven? So, which one will it be, Steven? Difficult , isn't it? Is it the one on the left? Or the one on the right? You know, if I was chosen to make the RIGHT decision, I would get the CORRECT one."
Steven looked at the left one and the right one. Both of them are in the same position with their backs turned on him. It could be any one of them.
If he chose poorly, who knows what would happen? Does he really need to rely on this ghost to make the correct decision? Steven tried to use Detective Mode, but it won't turn on.
"Uh-uh! No cheating!" The ghost wagged her finger at him. "Shame on you! You have to do this the RIGHT way! Come on, is it really that hard?! Just pick one!"
Steven chose the right one. He forced her to turn around and he grabbed her by the throat. But he didn't see Black Diamond's face, he saw Spinel's face.
"Bad luck, Stevie!"
Steven looked towards his left and saw Black Diamond shooting a gas from her sleeve at his face, spraying him with the vile toxin. Steven backed away and began coughing. He fell on his knees and couldn't breathe.
Steven grasped his throat and fell on his side. Then, his body began turning on itself, he was having a seizure. He couldn't control himself, his arms and legs had minds of their own and left him powerless.
"You're not dying, it just feels like you are. The toxin is filling your lungs, drowning you in your greatest fears." Black Diamond casually explains while she circles the downed young hero with a scythe on her shoulders.
