Vansh Gupta was the younger brother of Veer Gupta. Being the less smarter one he had always felt neglected and hence was always insecure about himself.
His insecurity reached its peak when his best friend chose his brother over him. The best friend he thought he was in love with.
Since they were kids she was the only girl who had genuinely cared for Vansh for what he was. And he had developed a soft corner for her which he thought to be love.
So when Charvi got married to his brother and confessed that she had actually loved him whole life and did not think about Vansh in the way he thought he was angry and insecure.
He started distancing himself and drifting away from everyone. He thought that he had yet again lost to his brother.
It was after Charvi had confronted him that he had thought deeply about it and realised that he actually didn't love her like he thought he did.
She was right. If he truly loved her he would he happy in her happiness but he wasn't. He felt insecure and angry because he thought he lost his best friend too.
And boy! How wrong he was. He did realise that apologized sincerely.
He felt like a idiot for hurting her and his brother. And he was thankful that his brother didn't kill him for hurting and making his wife cry.
It's been almost two years since Veer and Charvi have been married and Vansh was now ready to get married.
He too wanted someone like his father had his mother and his brother had Charvi.
He too wanted something like they did. Something beautiful and pure. Something like true love.
Which is why his mother had on his insistance started looking for a suitable girl for him.
Yes! He wanted to go for an arranged marriage. His mother showed him many biodatas daily out of which he rejected some and some the bride side rejected.
So no suitable alliance had been found till now.
He was in office when he recieved his mother's call. He came out and took her call.
"Ek biodata aur picture bheja hai check kr ke bata."
(I have sent one biodata and picture check and tell me.)
He hummed and checked his phone.
Mansi Tayal.
He read the name and her details. When he was satified that she was suitable enough for him he downloaded the picture and damn!
He was smitten. She was so beautiful. What he found the most attractive was the small mole at the side of her lip.
"Vansh!"
He heard his mother's loud voice and he came out of his reverie. He forgot that she was still on call.
His cheek redened and he thanked God that she couldn't see his face.
He cleared his throat and said.
"Haan? Umm-unke yaha se koi reply aaya abhi?"
(Yes? Umm is there any reply from their side yet?)
He asked slowly. His insecurities coming back.
"Haan unhone haan kia tabhi maine dikhaya tujhe. Ab tu bta. Phir ek meeting rakh lete hai."
(Yes they said yes that's why I showed you. Now you tell. Then we'll keep a meeting.)
"Haan rakh lo. Mujhe koi problem nhi hai."
