~Delaney's POV~

"You need to leave." I said.

"No. I don't. I'm your father." Mason said.

"You're not my father." I said.

"I'm not leaving Delaney." He said.

"Fine, then we will." I said.

"That's not fair to me Delaney." He said.

"Fuck you." I said.

I went upstairs with Dylan, into Zoey's room. She was passed out asleep. I smiled a bit.

"Is your family gonna be there long?" I asked.

"Yeah, for about a few days." Dylan said.

"We have to figure out how to keep Mason away from her. God knows what's gonna happen." I said.

"She told me what happened during the summer." Marcus said.

"Yeah, she hasn't been the same since." I said.

"I can tell." He said.

I heard the front door open.

I heard my moms voice.

Shit.

"Shit. I'll be right back." I said.

Dylan came with me downstairs.

"Hey sweetie." My mom said.

"Mom. No. You both can't be here while Zoey is." I said.

"Where is she?" She asked.

"Sleeping. You probably woke her up." I said.

Just then, she showed up.

~Zoey's POV~

"Baby who's here?" I asked.

"I don't know." Marcus said.

Might be my mom.

I got a shirt on, going downstairs.

Then. I saw them both. Instantly. Summer. When I was 2.

"Go back upstairs Zoey." Delaney said.

"Zoey honey are you okay?" My mom asked.

"Why do you care?" I asked.

"Because I'm worried about you. That's why I'm here." She said.

I just looked at her.

"Zoey." Delaney said.

"Careful Zoey, you might become suicidal again." Lana said, laughing.

What the FUCK did this bitch say?

"Here, Zoey. Let's go. For a drive. You and I. We need to talk." Dylan said.

"Okay." I said.

I got my shoes on and went out to Dylan's car.

"Why are they all here? Was this planned?" I asked.

"No, well, must have been planned by your mom. She told your dad to come here and then she showed up." Dylan said.

I started crying.

"Hey, it's okay Zoey. You're not in that situation you were before school started. You're the toughest fucking girl I know besides Delaney and you're doing so great right now." He said.

"I can't have them here Dylan." I said.

"We're trying to get them to leave." He said.

"They can't be here much longer." I said.

"Is it where you can only see one parent?" He asked.

"I only half-tolerate my mom." I said.

"I have a question." He said.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"You don't have to answer, but did you think about doing drugs again when you got out?" He asked.

"From time to time, but it hasn't really happened since I was friends with Marcus again. I guess he was just a really big distraction from it all. He still is. But I don't think it's gonna work to talk to him when they're physically here. Mom was the one who sent me there and my dad told my sister I wasn't his problem if I actually died." I said.

"Yeah, I'm sorry. Just know it's not your fault for any of this. You don't deserve what life's throwing at you, and you are gonna get to a good point I promise. It just takes time." He said.

I nodded. We went back inside and I just wanted them gone.

"Zoey. Please. Talk to me." My dad said.

"Leave." I said.

"Please." He said.

I just wanted Marcus. The only person who I was alive for besides Delaney and Dylan. The only person who got me.

I went upstairs. Marcus was in the bathroom. I went into my room and sat on my bed. It was happening again. The thoughts, the emotions, everything. I wanted to be gone.

Marcus came in. He sat right next to me.

"Hey. Hey. Breathe okay? Breathe. I'm here. I'm here." Marcus said as I cried.

"I can't do it anymore. I cant." I said.

"Yes baby you can. You can do it I promise you. I'm right here." He said.

"I want them to leave." I said.

"Can I leave for a second? Can I get Delaney?" He asked.

"Yes." I said.

Marcus went downstairs as I sat on my chair. I just wanted them to be gone or I was gonna figure out another way to be gone. I hid mom's Xanax in my room.

Delaney came in.

"Zoey. Zoey I'm here. You're gonna be okay. Dylans gonna make sure they leave. I promise." You're gonna be okay." Delaney said.

"Delaney I can't do it anymore." I said.

"Yes you can. You can. We're right here." She said.

Dylan came in.

"They're gone." Dylan said.

"Did mom leave too?" Delaney asked.

"Yep. Mason took Lana and their kid and bounced. Your mom went too, but the other way." He said.

"See? They're gone now. You're gonna be okay. I promise." She said.

"You promise they're gone?" I asked.

"I promise. I locked the door and everything." Dylan said.

I nodded. Marcus came in and placed water on my desk.

"We're gonna go downstairs for a bit. Are you gonna be okay?" Delaney asked.

I nodded.

She kissed my forehead as they went downstairs.

"Come here." Marcus said, hugging me.

I took a deep breath as he rubbed my back. I really needed Marcus.

"I'm here. I'm not leaving. I'm here." He said.

"I know." I said.

I laid in my bed as Marcus held me in his arms. He played with my hair. I started falling asleep. I just needed some sleep.
