~Zoey's POV~

I woke up and Marcus was out of my bed. I got up, going downstairs.

"Hey Zoey." Delaney said.

"Hey." I said.

"How are you feeling?" She asked.

"I'm not sure." I said.

"So, you're gonna have to stay with Marcus for a bit." She said.

"Okay. What for?" I asked.

"For your birthday." She said.

"Shit. I forgot about that." I said.

"Don't worry, Lauren's gonna take you to get your license." She said.

"Okay." I said.

Delaney smiled at me, giving me a hug.

"Where's Marcus and Dylan?" I asked.

"They went to go talk to their parents about the whole situation." She said.

"Okay." I said.

After a while Dylan came back with Marcus.

"Hey galsss how we doin?" Dylan asked.

"We're good. Did they say okay?" Delaney asked.

"Yeah, they're fine with it. Family left." He said.

"Good." She said.

I went over to Marcus, giving him a hug.

"You okay?" Marcus asked.

"I think so." I said.

"Okay. Just know you can talk to me." He said.

"I know." I said.

I wanted to tell him every emotion and feeling I had. I wanted to tell him I was thinking of doing drugs again, but I knew who I needed to tell first.

"I'm gonna go outside for a bit. I need to call someone." I said.

"Okay." Marcus said, giving me a kiss.

I went outside, dialing Tasha's number.

"Hello Zoey! How are you doing?" Tasha answered.

"Well, I almost did it again." I said.

"Oh no sweetie I'm so sorry. Can you give me a walkthrough of what happened?" She asked.

I felt so relieved talking to Tasha.

"Well, my dad came back. Remember how I told you I had nightmares of when he almost killed my sister? Yeah. He came back to the house. And then my mom showed up. I have PTSD of what happened when they're both here, even when they're gone too. And part of me really just needed to do it." I said.

"I'm sorry you've been having those thoughts, but it's normal to have those thoughts. Is your dad still there?" She asked.

"No, he left." I said.

"Good. I'm glad all of that is out of your way. What prevented it from happening?" She asked.

"I wasn't alone. My boyfriend came in and helped me and so did my sister." I said.

"I am glad you have people to be there with you Zoey." She said.

"Me too. I just thought I'd tell you because I feel like you're the only person who really gets me right now and you were the only person I could go to while I was stuck in a room." I said.

"I'm always here for you Zoey. Wether it be a phone call or text away. You will never be alone. You have so many people including me here for you." She said.

"Thank you Tasha." I said.

"I'm so proud of you for fighting through and preventing yourself from doing this." She said.

"If I did it and my mom found out I'd end back up in the mental hospital away from my sister for longer." I said.

"You can power through anything. You can do this Zoey." She said.

"Thank you Tasha." I said.

"Thank you for telling me everything. I'll talk to you soon." She said.

I hung up, going back inside.

"Alright, we ready to head over to our house?" Dylan asked.

"I just need to pack a few things." I said.

"Do you need any help?" Marcus asked.

"Sure." I said.

We went upstairs and I grabbed a bag, putting my clothes in it.

"Babe can you get in that top drawer and grab my extra toothpaste?" I asked.

Marcus nodded, going in my drawer.

"Zoey." Marcus said.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Why do you have this?" He asked.

I turned around and he was holding the Xanax bottle I stole from my mom's cabinet.

I just looked at him.

"We're you thinking about doing it again?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said, starting to cry.

Marcus put the bottle on my desk, hugging me.

"It just won't stop." I said.

"I know. I know. But hey, maybe staying with me for a bit will let you clear up your head. Remember the first time you came over after being friends again? You slept like a log." He said.

"Yeah." I said.

I finished packing everything, going downstairs.

"Don't tell them." I whispered.

"Okay." Marcus said, holding my hand.

"Ready to go?" Dylan asked.

I nodded. Marcus, Dylan, and I got in the car. Marcus held my hand until we got there.

"You're gonna be okay here I promise." Dylan said.

"Are you staying with Delaney?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am." He said.

I nodded as Dylan gave me a hug.

I went inside with Marcus.

"Hi Zoey, how are you feeling?" Lauren asked, giving me a hug.

"I think I'm doing okay right now." I said.

"Good." She said.

I smiled as Marcus took my stuff upstairs to his room.

"Such a gentleman." Lauren said.

I laughed, going upstairs to Marcus's room.

"Can we talk really quick?" Marcus asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"Did you use anymore after the incident in the summer? Like did you take any pills after that?" He asked.

I did. The day before the first day of school.

"No." I said.

"Promise?" He asked.

"I promise." I said.

I didn't want to tell anyone about it.
