After Chanel had left, Dylan came over.
"She got fired. They finally got her out. Same with VP Adams." Dylan said.
"That's good." I said.
"How are you doing though?" He asked.
"I'm fine." I said.
"No Zoey. How are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm falling apart Dylan. Every time I try to get better it all gets ruined. I almost used again yesterday, I can't forget that." I said.
"I know, and it's gonna be hard trust me, but you KNOW that you can get through it." He said.
"I guess so." I said.
"Do you know when you'll be good enough to go back to school?" He asked.
"I'm not sure. Maybe tomorrow." I said.
"Just know you can do it." He said, giving me a hug.
"Thank you for checking in on me Dylan, I really appreciate it." I said.
"I'll always be here for you Zoey." He said.
Dylan had left a few minutes after and I laid in my bed.
I started falling asleep until a knock came at the door. I looked through the peephole and it was Marcus.
"Hi Marcus." I said, letting him in.
"Hey pretty. How are you?" Marcus asked.
"I'm tired." I said.
Marcus pulled me in for a hug, a long hug. I felt comforted.
"It's all gonna be okay. I promise." Marcus said.
"I sure hope so, because this doesn't feel great." I said.
"What this or me hugging you?" He asked in a joking manner, holding my waist.
"Both." I said with a laugh as he hugged me tighter.
"Whatever." He said.
I looked at Marcus and kissed him.
"I love you. Thank you for always being here for me." I said.
"That's what I do." He said, kissing me some more.
If it wasn't for Tasha and Marcus, I'd be dead.
I really hope you enjoyed this! I'll be making a book 2 soon. Will Marcus and Zoey stay together? What happens to Zoey's mom? Does Zoey ever find happiness? What happens when Delaney goes to college? Find out in the next book!
