A/N: Angst? Idk, she cried, that's one thing.
It was late at night.
Tennessee was just walking back home from her boxing training alone. She stumbled across a young man who was standing in front of her, looking mad. "Sir, would you make way for me please? I'm on my way back home." Tennessee asked, smiling gently. The young man looked even more mad and yelled at her, "Sir?! You don't remember who I am?!" Tennessee only looked at him, dumbfounded. "Have we actually met before?" She asked again. The man then slapped her across her face.
"How dare you not remember me! You made me lose EVERYTHING!" The young man shouted at the state. Tennessee only looked at the man, not knowing who this guy was, nor knowing what she did wrong. Holding her bag tighter, she tried to explain. "Look sir. I really do not know who you are. I'm pretty sure I did not have a one-night-stand with other men since I'm only 13 years old- Nor did I meet you from other places I would roam around." She said, before receiving another slap on the right cheek. "Bitch! I'm 200 per cent sure that you've met me before! Don't act innocent!" The young man yelled at her, making the state even more irritated. Tennessee looked at the man, tears flowing in her eyes. She did not let them flow out of her eyes though. "Ahem. Then tell me, who are you?!" The man looked like he wanted to slap her again, and so he did.
"Ow. OK- fine. Could you please tell me who you are?" Tennessee asked in a more polite way, with venom in her words. The man then finally revealed himself as the one opponent she defeated in that one boxing match. Before she could speak, he slapped her again, but this time she blocked it with her arm. "After you won the finals, I lost everything! My fame, my fans, everything!!" At this point the state representative was already annoyed. She looked at her watch and it was already 12:15 am. "If it weren't for you, I-" Before the man could continue, Tennessee punched him on the gut. "Shut up, will you. It's your own problem you've lost." The state glared at the man before she left.
However, this wasn't the end.
The young man caught up to her and slapped her on the left cheek this time, which makes it the 5th time. At this point the state representative got angry and clenched her fists. "Sir. I swear that if you dare slap me again, I'm gonna call the police on you." However, she was smart this time. She didn't wait for him to slap her and punched him already. Looking at him, she then quickly ran back home.
In the State-House:
"Where's Tennessee? It's been too long." Texas asked worriedly. The only ones awake were the states down south. Yet most of them weren't fully awake. Even Florida started to doze off.
All of a sudden, to their surprise, Tennessee came back, with tears rolling down her cheeks. Her cheeks were red. "Holy heck! What happened?!" Arkansas jumped off the stool he was sitting on and ran towards her. The other state only walked towards Texas and put her head on his shoulder as he hugged her. "It hurts..." She only muttered. No one knew what was going on, why she cried or why she came back this late, but as long as she's alright, everything's alright.
A/N: New headcannon, Tennessee never cries in front of strangers. She would always hold her tears in front of the people she doesn't know, and let them all out in front of her family and friends.
