Tennessee watched from afar as her house was burned down.

Her family was killed in that fire.

Her mother, her father, her elder brother, all were burnt into ashes.

All she did was kill the one governor that banned stricter gun laws. By food poisoning.

And now she had to run for her dear life.

She held her tears in, turned around and started running again.

------------

"Tessa? Where are you?"

Texas yelled, wandering around the city of Nashville. People were rioting about killing their state representative, and the news had spread all over the country. Everyone knew that Tennessee was in danger. And now Texas had to find her and bring her back to the State-House until all of this was over.

"Tessa, this ain't a joke, please just- Come out wherever you are!" Texas yelled again. As he was walking, someone tugged his hand. It was the city representative of Memphis himself. Texas turned around and saw the little boy.

"Memphis?" Texas asked as he knelt in front of the boy.

"Tessa... She... I saw her running towards Nashville..." The boy only sobbed.

"But, we're in Nashville- Wait. She's already here?!" Texas widened his eyes, asking the boy. Though Memphis then shook his head and shrugged, this information at least helped him a little. "Um... S-Stay here, okay? I'll come back and get you later." The state then ran away, leaving the boy sobbing on his own.

"OK..."

------------

"Get back here!"

"You murderer!"

"Kill her!"

Tennessee ran as people were literally trying to kill her. She heavily breathed, yet not stopping to take a break.

Her eyesight was getting blurry. She saw a familiar figure running towards her. The figure wore a cowboy hat.

"Texas...?" She asked quietly, slowing down. The figure then ran to her, pulled her arm and made her hide behind him. "You alright?" He asked. Tennessee took a closer look at him.

Yep, that's Texas all right.

"Helios... I'm...tired..." Tennessee whispered as Texas shot bullets at the rioting people, killing around ten out of a million. "I know. We'll get ya back to the State-House, then you'll get as much rest as you can. But now please hold on." Texas said, holding her hand as tight as he could. However, the other looked like she was going to pass out after running for over two days. Without food and water, without even taking a break...

Tennessee stumbled, trying to maintain balance.

------------

10 minutes has passed, and Texas was out of bullets. He carried Tennessee bridal style and started to run.

People started chasing after the two, but then they lost them.

Texas carried Tennessee into a dark alley to temporarily hide from the rioters. He gently put her on the floor, sat down and made her lie her head on his lap.

They waited.

And waited.

Waited for the rioters to stop. They did stop, though.

But it was still too dangerous to leave. Did the two care? Not really.

Tennessee was tired. Very. She tried her best not to close her eyes though. Who knew if she died in her sleep? Who knew if she would suddenly get stabbed in the chest while she was sleeping? However, her eyelids were dropping, and she really couldn't control them.

"Helios...?" She whispered, looking at Texas. Texas immediately turned to her.

"I'll...sleep for a while..." She smiled, then closed her eyes. Texas nodded and gently caressed her hair.

"Sleep tight."
