Four figures zipped through the air on their ODM gear. One with shaggy blonde hair, a red head, and two with black hair. They were being followed by a couple soldiers from the Military Police and four hooded strangers.

"The Military Police again? Haven't learnt their lesson, have they?" Isabel, the red head joked. "Hey, Bro!" She yelled to Levi, one of the ebony haired thugs.

"Are you an idiot?" Levi yelled back to her. They were being chased like criminals, now was not the time for jokes. Levi separated from the group, trying to lose the MPs. He lost the MPs, but not the hooded men, then regrouped with his friends.

"Those movements, they're not the Military Police!" Furlan noted to Levi.

"No mistake, it's them." Levi said mostly to himself. "That Wings of Freedom crest," Levi thought about it. "It's the Survey Corps!" Levi yelled to his comrades.

"These are the same people who battle the Titans, they're as different as expected." Furlan said.

"You guys, you know, right?" Levi asked them.

"Of course." Isabel said in her normal cheery voice.

"It's the job, right?" Furlan smiled.

Levi looked to the one member of the group who hadn't talked yet. Her dark eyes met his.

"I understand." She said so quietly that Levi had to read her lips. The four of them separated, following the plans they had lain out. Just as suspected, three Survey Corps men broke off from the formation and followed each of the thugs. It didn't take long however before Isabel and Furlan were apprehended.

The other two however didn't give up so easily. Levi had told her to give up easily, but she had different plans. She refused to give up without a fight, they needed to see she was a force to be reckoned with. They needed to know what she could do. Even with her sharp twists and turns, ducking into random buildings, she was still caught. On purpose of course. Three of the Scouts held onto each of the thugs. They were led over to where Levi and a Scout were going at it.

"Stop it. Take a look around you." The blonde-haired Scout told Levi. The Scout held his sword up to Levi, his arms shaking from the weight of the blade being pressed down onto him. Levi's dark blue eyes shot towards his friends which were being held back by a couple scouts. Furlan stood calmly, Isabel was struggling to try and get away, cursing at the woman who held her. And the black-haired girl was being held by Mike, the other blonde-haired Scout. She didn't struggle, instead her head was bent down, her dark locks covering her face.

"Seems you're possessed of sound judgment." Erwin said after Levi had dropped his knife. The Scouts took their ODM gear and handcuffed the four of them.

"This sucks." Isabel whispered to her ebony haired friend. Under the curtain of hair that hid her face the girl smiled at Isabel. The four of them were forced to kneel down onto the ground.

"I have some questions for you four." The Scout told them. "How'd you obtain your ODM gear?" He asked, holding up his own ODM gear.

None of them said a word.

"You're all quite skilled at maneuvering with it. Who was it that taught you how?"

Again, nobody spoke. So Erwin walked up to Levi.

"I take it you're the group's leader? Just how much military training do you have?"

Instead of saying something Levi picked his head up and glared at the man. Mike, the other blonde, grabbed his head and smashed it into a puddle in front of them.

Isabel and Furlan gasped and cursed at the Scout. The black-haired girl stood up from her kneeling position, ready to fight for Levi even with her hands cuffed behind her back but was pulled back by a woman Scout. She was anything but gentle with the ebony haired girl, pushing her back down onto the ground.

"Stay where you belong." The Scout warned the thug.

"I'll ask you once again." Erwin said to Levi, even as his head was still in the puddle. "Who trained you in the use of ODM gear?"

"None of us were trained, okay? We taught ourselves!" Furlan yelled.

"That's scarcely possible. I don't believe you."

"Yeah, well the definition of possible changes a bit when you're trying to survive in a dump like this! But unless you know what sewage tastes like, I doubt that's something you'd understand!"

"Tell that thug of yours to let Levi go already! You can't just torture people in the street!" Isabel now added.

Erwin's eyes looked to Furlan then to Isabel then to the black-haired girl who hadn't said a thing. The only thing she had done was stand up and attempt to fight. Even if he couldn't see her eyes, he could tell there was a fire behind them.

Levi's head was pulled out of the puddle but was still held by Mike. Erwin knelt down into the same puddle, going down to Levi's eye level.

"I'm Captain Erwin Smith of the Scouts. And what's your name?"

"Levi."

"Levi. I'd like to offer you a deal."

"What kind of deal?"

"I'll overlook your various crimes, and you'll lend me your strength and skill as members of the Scout Regiment."

"And if I refuse?"

"We'll give you to the MP's. You've been thorns in their sides for some time. So if you go that route, I doubt you or your comrades will receive decent treatment." Erwin stood back up and began to walk away. "The choice is yours, pick a path."

"Alright, fine." Levi turned his head to spit out a mouthful of puddle water. "If that's how it is then we'll join the damn Scouts."

"Well then, I know Levi's name. But I'm unfamiliar with the rest of you." Erwin looked at the other three.

"My name is Isabel, Isabel Magnolia."

"Furlan Church."

"And you?" Erwin walked over to the girl by Furlan's right side, the girl with black hair. "Who are you?"

The girl lifted her head. The curtain of hair parted revealing a pretty face. Just like her brother she had sharp features, but her's weren't as sharp as his, they were softer, more feminine. Where Levi had dark blue eyes, Lillian had dark green eyes. Her face was pulled into a scowl, a sorry attempt to try and look intimidating, but her eyes were too expressive. Erwin thought her eyes would hold a fire behind them, but instead her eyes told a different story, she was scared.

"My name is Lillian."

A/N:

Hello readers! Welcome to my new story! Hope ya like it, and I'm SUPER excited to share my work with you. I already have most of this story written, so unlike every other story I've written I will hopefully finish this one! :D Anyway, I will be posting this story every Monday and Friday. I figured it would be good to have a chapter to make your Monday better and a good end to your week and start to the weekend. And if I feel like it, I might also post multiple times a day or on a different day. Also, when I go on vacation I will post before I go and immediately after I come back. That might have been a lot of useless information, but I don't really care. Enjoy the story!
