Lillian wrapped her arms tightly around Erwin's neck, while his strong arms wrapped around her back. There were only so few spaces for the two of them to say goodbye as husband and wife, so once Hange and Mike had left the room the two of them fell into each other's embrace. All they wanted were ten minutes to not be Scouts and just be two idiots in love.

For the half a year they had been married for the two hadn't left each other's side. Actually ever since they started dating the two hadn't left each other's side. This would be the first time they'd be away from each other.

"I should get going." Lillian mumbled as she tried to free herself from Erwin's grip. Erwin only pulled her closer. "Erwin I gotta go."

He didn't say anything, all he did was place a kiss on top of her head. His one hand rubbed her back. "Just a couple more minutes. I don't know how I'll get past this next week without you."

Lillian chuckled. "You're being overdramatic. You lived 27 years without me, a week won't hurt you." She held onto him tighter. "But I will miss you."

"Is there something wrong with Levi?" Erwin asked.

Lillian pulled away from him enough to look at him. "I don't think so."

"He was a little rude."

"No, he was just being Levi. You know how he is."

"I think there's something wrong with him. I feel like he's had a problem with me recently."

Lillian thought for a moment. She couldn't help but agree. Levi wasn't close with most people, but he had learned to tolerate Erwin, perhaps even see him as a friend.

"Don't worry about Levi." Lillian leaned in. "I'll talk to him." She kissed him. "But I really should be going now."

"I suppose." Erwin sighed. His grip on her finally loosened enough for her to escape. And the two were now back to being Scouts.

Lillian rode to the castle alone. Levi's team were staying at the Scout's old headquarters, it had been almost half a year since they stayed there. The place would probably be a mess, bringing out "Cleaning Levi". That's the last thing that Eren needed. Lillian thought.

She got off her horse and put him in the stables. Just as Lillian had suspected all of Levi's squad was cleaning the castle from top to bottom.

"Lieutenant!"

"Gunther." Lillian greeted him.

"You here to help with cleaning? The Captain is much more tolerable when you're here to yell at him for being crazy."

"I might lend a hand, but only depending on Levi's mood." She walked up the stairs and listened for the sound of complaining. But she instead heard something else.

"Up close and personal Captain Levi doesn't seem much like the hero he's cracked up to be. For one thing he's a lot shorter. Bit on the temperamental side, too. Not exactly imbued with what you'd call the social graces." Petra said.

Lillian tiptoed closer, wanting to hear more.

"It's not that. I'm more put off by the seriousness. He's so dead earnest about following the higher-ups' rules." Eren spoke back.

"Let me guess. You think strength means living by your own rules, flouting everyone else's?"

"Well, he didn't strike me as the type to take orders."

"Time was he would've lived up to your expectations. That's what I understand anyway. I don't have the details." Petra paused. "Story goes he and his sister were quite rogues before joining the Scouts. A couple of high rollers in the Capital's black market."
