A/N:
Well ya'll. This is gonna hurt like a bitch.
They finally arrived at the port late at night. Sadly even though it was the middle of the night, none of them would be getting any sleep. The night was filled with them helping the Azumobito get the flying boat in working order.
The one person who did have the right to sleep through this night, wasn't taking the opportunity.
"Levi!" Lillian scolded her brother. He was slowly trying to get down the stairs, Armin was right next to him. His hands hovered above his body just in case Levi fell, Armin could catch him. Despite being the Colossal Titan, Armin didn't dare try to keep Levi from going. But Lillian would.
"You are too injured to go!" Lillian grabbed him as soon as his foot hit the final step.
"Your injuries didn't stop you from fighting the Armored Titan." Levi gritted out between his teeth.
"I didn't get blown up by a thunder spear!"
Erwin took a step forward and unhanded Lillian from Levi. They were a lot more civil with each other than normal siblings, so it was strange whenever they got into actual arguments. "That's enough, Lillian."
"Erwin, you're kidding me?"
"If Levi wants to go, then he'll go. We need all the manpower we can get."
"But what-"
"Lily." Levi spoke up. "I'll be fine. I need to fight. I need to kill that hairy bastard."
Erwin's eyes widened. He knew why Levi was so obsessed with Zeke. He was touched that Levi cared that much, to honor his promise even when Erwin told him it didn't matter anymore.
"We should go." Erwin said. "Yelena said she will finally speak, so we should focus on that and where we are taking the flying boat."
The two siblings nodded and followed Erwin to Yelena's room.
When the night broke into dawn, and the sun took the moon's place, it was finally time for them to leave. The flying boat was almost ready for takeoff, and everything seemed to be going smoothly.
"In about an hour, we can begin preparations for takeoff!" Onyankopon shouted to the Scouts.
"Alright, you heard him. Everyone, inspect your gear." Erwin ordered.
Everyone did as they were told, but all eyes landed on one man in particular. Levi had lost his pointer and middle finger in the thunder spear accident. His breath was strained as he tried to reach for the lever.
After more struggling, he did eventually get it. "Two fingers is all I need. I'm ready."
Lillian sighed and bent down to his height. "Are you sure you want to go?"
"I have to." Levi's blue eyes had never looked so determined.
They all waved goodbye to Annie as they prepared to leave. Well, everyone but Levi and Lillian. She had forgiven Annie, but that didn't mean they were on good enough terms for her to wave goodbye.
It sucked only because Annie was the Female Titan, and they could have used her. But Lillian understood her unwillingness to fight. Annie's father was her whole world. And with the rumbling going straight through Marley, he was probably dead. If Lillian didn't have her family, she probably wouldn't fight either.
Lillian sat by Levi, checking on him again, for the millionth time. Pieck walked up to Hange and Erwin.
"Are you sure you want to come with us?" Hange asked the Warrior. It was strange to see such a pretty woman have such an ugly titan. "Assuming the rumbling stops, Eldians won't find themselves in a great position."
