Lillian and Erwin had been struggling to keep their relationship hidden any longer. They tried to keep up the facade of them still being angry with the other, but it was getting harder. As the winter months rolled in and most of the Scouts left to be with their families it only made Lillian and Erwin want to spend more time together.
"I could say that Levi and I want to visit some old friends, and you have work to do in the capitol." Lillian laid on the couch in Erwin's office.
"I don't want to put your brother in that situation. I feel bad enough already that he's been covering for us so much." Erwin also sat on the couch with Lillian, her eyes were closed as her head laid comfortably in his lap.
"I know and I agree. But I want to go somewhere where it will just be the two of us." Lillian opened her eyes and stared up at him. He wasn't looking at her, his eyes scanned through the paper that had been delivered from Trost.
"Well if you want to spend more time together, you could spend the night in my room." Erwin smirked.
Lillian playfully hit him. "You know how I feel about that, Erwin. I want to wait till marriage."
"I was only teasing. But you can also spend the night, and nothing has to happen." Erwin was now staring down at her.
"I'm afraid that I'll get too comfortable there." Lillian smiled.
"Isn't that the point?" Erwin leaned down and kissed her lips. Lillian wrapped her arms around his neck, using him to help her sit up. His lips trailed down to her neck, as the kisses turned to him biting her.
"Erwin stop." Lillian didn't actually want him to, but she gently pushed him away. "We don't want to be leaving any evidence."
"But what if I want everyone to know that you're mine?" Erwin leaned back into her neck.
"If everyone knew that I was yours then both of us would probably lose our job. And you would lose your chance to fulfill your dream."
The sound of heavy boots hitting the wooden floors made the couple stop. Lillian quickly wrangled herself out of Erwin's grasp and ran to sit at his desk. She flipped the collar of her shirt back into its normal position, hopefully covering up whatever marks Erwin had just left. Erwin grabbed the paper he had been reading and opened it to a random spot.
"I was looking for you two." Hange said as she kicked the door down, Mike and Levi were trailing behind her. "What are you two doing?" Hange's eyes narrowed at the two.
"Catching up on some news from Trost." Erwin had an answer, Lillian however did not. It was weird enough that they were in the same room together since they still "hated each other".
Lillian forced an eyeroll and got up from his desk. "Please tell me you three have something planned? Erwin wanted me to look over some plans for the next scouting expedition, even though the snow hasn't even melted yet." Lillian made sure her voice was drawn out, trying to make herself sound annoyed.
"Well, we were going to go to Trost and get some things together for Christmas." Hange explained.
"That's a good idea. I should pick up Levi's birthday present." As soon as the words came out of her mouth, Lillian's hand clamped shut over it.
"What?!" Hange squealed, and slowly turned to face him. "Levi your birthday is on Christmas?! We need to throw a party or something!"
"No." Levi said sternly. "There's a reason that the three of you don't know my birthday."
"Yeah, we don't know Lillian's either. Why is that?" Mike asked.
Hange, Erwin, and Mike's eyes were all on the two ebony haired siblings. The both of them shared a glance then shrugged.
