Now that they were in a different castle Lillian decided it was finally time to bunk with the girls. This was the first time she had never slept within meters of Levi, now he was on the other side of the castle.

Lillian slept on the top bunk, Nanaba slept on the bottom bunk. Lillian was sad to say she had never met Nanaba before, but was happy now that she had. She was a tough lady with a sarcastic sense of humor.

"We don't have another recon mission for a while do we?" Nanaba asked her. Lillian was on her bunk, trying to get a couple more minutes of sleep. Nanaba was always ready to kill titans, and was a morning person.

"I'm not sure, why are you asking me?"

"Because you're so chummy with the commander."

"We're not chummy. Besides, it was only a month ago we led over 200,000 people to their deaths, don't you want some rest?"

"A month is long enough." Nanaba got out of her bunk and started to get dressed.

"Why do you have to do that?"

"Do what?"

"Get dressed! Now I feel like I have to, too." Lillian jumped out of her bunk and grabbed a towel. "I'm going for a shower. I suggest you do too."

"Unlike you I don't have a crazy clean freak brother." Nanaba shrugged her jacket on and walked out.

Lillian rolled her eyes and went into the bathroom. Rows of showers were on one side, while a long vanity was on the other side. Lillian set her clothes on the vanity opposite of the shower on the farthest end. She got undressed and stepped into the shower. Since all Scouts had the day off today everyone slept in, everyone but her bunkmate. So Lillian had the bathroom to herself.

She finished her shower as fast as she could, then dried off and got dressed. Since it was an off day, she wore a tan dress that hit her shins. It was nice to feel like a girl again, between the recon missions and the meetings she was forced to go to it was nice to not have to wear a uniform for once.

Lillian put her hair in a bun at the base of her head and let her bangs hang around her face. In one of the drawers of the long vanity were a pair of scissors. Lillian grabbed them out of the drawer and held them up to her bangs. Her bangs had grown down to her lips, it was hard to cover her face now without looking like a crazy person. Instead of cutting her bags to their normal length she put the scissors back in the drawer. Perhaps she would let them grow out.

"You look nice." A voice came from behind her. Lillian looked in the mirror, behind her stood a brunette with messy hair.

"Hange, I'm going out today, care to join?"

Hange jumped up and down, too energetic for just getting up. She clapped then pulled Lillian into a hug.

"Yes! This will be fun! We can invite everyone!"

"No, I meant a girl's day."

"Even better." Hange smiled. "Meet back up in ten?"

Lillian nodded and left the bathroom.

Hange and Lillian walked arm in arm as they looked around at some of the shops in Trost. Shiganshina had been a poorer district, so they were happy to find a larger range of products to look at. The first place they went to was one of Hange's favorite bookstores.

"You don't like to read?" Hange gasped as Lillian tapped her foot, clearly getting impatient as Hange searched the shelves.

"I like to read, but this is girl's day, I thought we were going to do girly things, not look at your science books. Besides, aren't there enough books in the library?"
