26: Tell Me Why

Erwin was right. Before when only her, Erwin, and Levi knew it was fine. Lillian and Erwin managed to get their alone time, and Levi would unenthusiastically help. But now that their other two friends knew, Lillian and Erwin found themselves not getting as much alone time together. Between Erwin being the Commander of the Survey Corps, Lillian having her own work, and a million other things, the two of them found it hard to make time for them.

"Are we going on a date, or not?" Lillian was already dressed and ready to go, while Erwin still sat at his desk working on paperwork.

"Give me a couple more minutes."

"You said that ten minutes ago."

Erwin sighed. He looked at Lillian who was sitting on the couch with her hands in her lap. Her hair was down, and she was wearing one of her nicer dresses. He set down his papers and went to sit down next to her on the couch.

"Is this what you wanted?" Erwin asked, wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her closer.

"No." Lillian tried to sound annoyed as she got closer to him. "I wanted to go on a date, not just make out with you on this couch."

"We will go on a date." Erwin leaned down and kissed the scar along her jaw.

Lillian stood up, trying to pull Erwin up with her. He smiled at her and willingly got up.

"I'm hungry, can we please go?"

The door behind them opened. Hange walked in and wrapped an arm around Lillian.

"I'll go out with ya, Lil. That is if your boy toy here isn't going to take you anywhere."

"Actually Hange, we were-"

"Great! Girl's night!" Hange pulled Lillian towards the door with her.

"Hange wait." Lillian ducked, avoiding Hange's grasp. "I'm going out on a date with Erwin."

"No, you're not. You've been hanging out with him too much. Please Lillian, I feel like I never see you anymore."

"I only spend a lot of time with Erwin for work."

Hange rolled her eyes and left the room for under a minute. She returned with Mike and Levi.

"Here Erwin. You three can have a boy's night."

"I don't care as long as you," Levi pointed to Mike. "Don't make me drink again."

"Deal." Mike said.

Lillian and Erwin shared a glace.

"What the hell just happened?" Lillian asked Erwin through a tilt of her head.

"Great question." Erwin answered with a shrug.

"This is great! These two have been spending too much time together, it'll be good for you two to get some time apart." Hange smiled at the couple. "I'll let you say your goodbyes, then I'm stealing your girlfriend from ya, Erwin."

Erwin looked down at Lillian by her side. He grabbed her hand and kissed it. But Lillian was not so satisfied. She was promised a romantic night alone with Erwin, and instead got kidnapped. She placed both of her hands on Erwin's shoulders and pulled him down. Even on her tiptoes, Lillian still couldn't reach him. She kissed him for a couple seconds then let him go.

"Ew," Levi spat.

Erwin glared at Levi, then leaned down and kissed her again.

"Ok, you boys have fun!" Hange grabbed Lillian and pulled her out of the room before she could run away.
