A/N:

Y'all wanna a song to listen to while you read this? It's completely unrelated because it's a FNAF song but it's; "Below the Surface" by Griffinilla. I only recommend it because the title of the chapter reminded me of the title of the song. 🤣

Erwin looked down to the fourth and final member of the group. The black-haired girl with dark green eyes, and sharp features just like her brother.

"My name is Lillian." She said in a voice dripping with venom. Now with the bangs out of her face Erwin could see her better.

"Are you related to Levi?"

"I don't see how that's important." Her eyes turned to the side, wanting to look anywhere but at him. She could feel the way his blue eyes seemed to bore into her soul.

"So yes, you are." He knelt down in front of her. "Now that you are a Scout you are under my command. When I ask a question, I expect an answer."

"Yes, he's my brother."

"Hm." Erwin stood up and ordered that their cuffs be taken off. When Lillian felt the metal fall from her wrists she wanted to run towards the captain and hit him. But they had a mission, she couldn't let her anger control her. They all stood up, but stayed in their spots. "You four will be sent to training immediately upon your arrival at the castle. Mike will take you to the carriage that will take you there."

"What about our things?" Lillian asked with a raise of her hand.

"We will have someone collect it; I assume you don't have very many things?"

"That's rude." Furlan commented. He smiled his charming smile at Lillian, picking up what she was putting down. "For a Captain with the Scouts you don't seem to have very much respect for your new comrades."

"Respect is a two-way street." Erwin was not enjoying the joke.

"You misunderstand Captain." Lillian spoke up, her bangs somehow covering her face again. "I already respect you for being so bold as to smashing my brother's face into a dirty shit-soaked puddle and not expecting me to do the same to you."

Erwin looked at her with a glare. Whatever Lovof offered them it must have been good for her to insult him like this. He then looked at Mike. "If she causes you any more trouble feel free to throw the cuffs back on."

The four of them were escorted to a stairwell and up the stairs. Lillian was more than happy to be greeted with the sun again. The chill in her bones left, and a warm feeling grew in her heart.

"Don't pull shit like that again." Levi scolded her in a quiet whisper.

"He pissed me off."

"You're usually so quiet. What got into you?"

"I'm not sure." Lillian thought about Erwin, Captain Erwin Smith. There was something about him, maybe it was the ego that radiated off of him, or those stupid eyebrows, or the way he treated Levi, but she hated him. "I'm excited to kill him."

"You and me both Lily."

The world on the surface was unlike anything Lillian had ever seen. She had to stop herself from smashing her face against the window of the carriage to get a better look at everything. The green fields that would go on for miles and miles. Clear blue water that sparkled under the sun's rays. Heck even the walls were impressive. The Scout's base was located in Wall Maria, and since the Underground was under the capital, they had to travel through a couple different walls.
