"So, do you kids feel ready?" Lillian stood on top of the wall with Levi's squad.

"I guess." Jean shrugged.

"I'm still upset that I didn't get any meat last night!" Sasha complained.

"I thought you might be." Lillian grabbed a napkin out of her jacket pocket and handed it to Sasha. The girl unwrapped it and immediately shoved the beef into her mouth.

"Thank you Lieutenant!"

Lillian nodded and walked over to the other group of three. "How are you guys feeling?"

"I'm a little nervous." Armin admitted.

"I'm sure everything will be fine." She patted him on the shoulder. "Eren you feeling ok?"

"I'm fine. I just hope all the practicing will pay off."

"I'm sure it will." She turned to the last member of the group. "Mikasa?"

"I'm ready to get this over with."

Lillian laughed and slapped her on the back. "This is why we're related, because I feel the same."

"I heard this is going to be your last mission, after this you're retiring?"

"What?" Eren's eyes went wide as he looked at the Lieutenant. "Are you serious? But there will still be so much work to do!"

"Maybe there won't be, we don't know for sure. But..." Lillian thought about her child and of Erwin. "I'm not getting any younger and I want to start a family. Besides, when we discover the truth that means I would have held up my end of the barrigan, and now it will be time for my husband to hold up his end."

The three of them stared at her with wide eyes.

"You're married?" Armin asked.

"To who?" Eren was next to ask.

Lillian chuckled as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Whoops slip of the tongue. You kids don't know him."

Mikasa narrowed her eyes at Lillian, seeing right through her lie.

"Lily!" Hange's voice came from behind Lillian. She excused herself to go talk to Hange.

"You look excited."

"I have to admit I'm more nervous than anything." Hange got closer to Lillian. "Nervous for you, no one will say anything if you stay here where it's safe. I'm sure Erwin and Levi would be more than happy to have you stay."

"No, I have to go."

"Do you at least feel ok?"

"I haven't had morning sickness for the past two days; I think I'm in the clear."

Hange smiled and patted Lillian on the shoulder. "Good. Now stay with your husband and keep the three of you safe."

Lillian rolled her eyes but nodded.

As the Scouts all stood on the wall looking over Trost District the crowd below cheered them on. It was never like this. In the six years she had been a Scout they had never gotten a sendoff like this. Even Erwin and Hange probably never got a sendoff like this. People were clapping and shouting encouragement to them. This is what they should get every time.

"Someone's got a big mouth." Levi said.

"Yeah, well, that celebration did get a little rowdy." Hange explained. "Actually, we ordered all of that meat from the Reeves Company, so..."

"Flegel." A Section Commander answered for Hange.

Further down the line of Scouts, Jean, Sasha, and Connie all shouted back at the crowd below. "Yeah! You can count on us!"
