Year 854

After three years of going through major changes the island was starting to feel less and less like home. Some of the changes were for the better, but there was other changes Lillian didn't like. She hated that part of her wanted to go back to the old days, sure her life was different now, but she missed the old ways. She wasn't depressed, but she did prefer to focus on the things that did make her happy. Erwin, their five children, Levi, Hange (when she wasn't busy), and the kids of Levi's squad when she saw them. They weren't really children anymore, Jean had hair on his chin, and Sasha was almost certainly in love with a Marleyan chef named Niccolo.

"Mrs. Smith." Lisa Braus, Sasha's mother, greeted Lillian.

It was strange at first, once everyone stopped calling her Lieutenant and switched to Mrs. Smith. She didn't like it. It made her feel older than she was. But then Erwin started calling her Mrs. Smith. He'd sneak up behind her and rest his hands on her hips, his lips would lean down to her ear and press a small kiss there before he would call her Mrs. Smith in a seductive voice. Lillian would warn him, asking him if he really wanted another child so soon. Or if she was currently pregnant, she would ask him if he was trying to get her pregnant a second time.

"Are you excited to see Sasha again?"

Lisa nodded. A couple minutes later Artur Braus and all their adopted children showed up.

"Mrs. Smith. You and your children must be excited to see Erwin?" Artur asked her.

Lillian readjusted her youngest child in her arms. "Yes. I miss him a lot."

"I miss him more!" Carina shouted. She threw an arm over her little brother, Kenny.

"No!" Miche pulled his twin away from Carina. "I miss dad!"

"Mama." Kenny looked up to her with those dark blue eyes that looked so much like Levi's. He even already mastered his uncle's eyeroll. Despite Miche and Kenny being twins, they looked like total opposites. Miche looked like the carbon copy of his father, while Kenny looked exactly like his mother. But Lillian looked exactly like Levi, so Kenny was more of Levi's twin then he was Miche's.

"Hey mom." Dimitri, Erwin and Lillian's adopted child from the Underground leaned into her. "Would you like me to hold Niklas when Erwin gets here?" He just wanted an excuse to not hug Erwin.

"If you want to." With her free hand she brushed his thick brown locks out of his eyes. "It's not just me who loves you, you know that right? Erwin does too."

The young boy nodded. "I know." It was about two years ago when Dimitri was five when they adopted him. He wouldn't say anything, but Lillian suspected that he went through some trauma with men specifically. Or he just felt more comfortable with Lillian since she also grew up in the Underground, and she could relate to what he went through.

"Look! The ship!" Someone in the crowd shouted to the two airships that were slowly landing.

Carina jumped up and down, shouting for her father. Miche joined in. Niklas bounced up in down in her arms, not understanding what was going on, but he picked up on the excitement. Kenny was also excited, but since his uncle was his twin, he kept his face neutral just like his uncle would.

"Dad! Dad!" Her children yelled once they spotted him get off the airship.

Her handsome husband walked to them, meeting his children halfway and kneeling down to hug them all. Despite seeing his children, his happiness didn't reach his eyes. There was something sad stuck behind them.

"I hope you kids didn't drive your mother too crazy." Erwin kissed each of their heads before he stood up and made his way over to his wife.

"My love." Lillian greeted him with a soft kiss.
