21: First Date

Sorry this is late again. Its surprisingly hard to write with nine fingers.😂 But yeah, the last episode of aot comes out today so I don't know what y'all are going to be doing, but I'm gonna go cry for the rest of the day.

Despite working out their problems Lillian still had stable duty to do as a punishment. Everyone knew she hated stable duty, so it threw them all off when they saw her doing her chores with a smile on her face.

Mike and Hange watched from a distance as Lillian hummed and smiled as she threw hay over the fence for the horses.

"What got into her?" Mike scoffed.

"Maybe she and Erwin finally got together." Hange smiled. "Both of them have been in remarkably good moods these past couple weeks."

"Or maybe Lillian is just happy because today is her last day of stable duty. Hange you seem to forget that her and Erwin have been ignoring each other."

"Clearly something happened between the two of them before we went to the capitol. They were both talking to each other, but they were still clearly mad at each other. When we got back, they were in better moods, but they started to ignore ea-" Hange paused. Her jaw fell as a revelation came to her. 

"What's wrong?"

Hange smiled, then she began to chuckle. "Why did Lillian cut her hair?"

Mike shrugged. "Her hair was getting too long?"

"No. Lillian likes having her hair long. No. Girls cut that much hair off so suddenly for one reason and one reason only." Hange waited for Mike to answer. But he did not, so Hange finished her thought. "A broken heart."

"That doesn't make sense. Erwin told me himself that he wants her."

"Erwin told you that he wants her?" Hange hit Mike in the back of the head. "I can't believe you didn't tell me!"

Mike rubbed the spot on the back of his head where Hange had got him. "You really wanna play that game? Tell me Hange, has Lil ever told you she has feelings for Erwin?"

Hange blew a raspberry. "Of course she has. But I couldn't tell you, I promised Lil I wouldn't tell anyone." 

Mike raised a brow. "Do you get it now? Erwin asked me to do the same."

"Well I guess we both failed because we just ended up telling the other." Hange said, readjusting her glasses.

"We could ask Levi, if anyone would know it would be him."

"Ask me what?" Levi walked back to the stable with his black mustang, and his squad.

"What's going on with your sister?" Mike asked him.

"What are you interested?" Levi asked in his normal monotone voice.

"No. She just seems to be in a good mood lately."

Levi looked over to Lillian and then back to Mike and Hange. "I would be too if I beat the shit out of a couple MPs." Levi walked towards the stables with his squad.

Lillian had been alone several times with Erwin, but now that she was getting ready to go on their first date, she couldn't help but get butterflies in her stomach. Every dress she owned was on her bed, and she had to brush her hair several times because of the number of times she had tried a new hairstyle, hated it, and taken it out. Since she had cut her hair a couple weeks ago Lillian now had to get used to the shorter length and try new hairstyles since her old ones wouldn't work.
